Keywords: IPC

IPC announced that noted author, explorer and scientist Dr Robert Ballard will deliver the keynote presentation at IPC Printed Circuits Expo, taking place at the Long Beach Convention Center on 24-28 March 2002.

The keynote session featuring Dr Ballard will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 26 March 2002. His multi-media presentation draws parallels between his journeys of exploration and discovery and everyday life.

Dr Ballard has made several world-famous discoveries during the last 30 years, including locating the sunken RMS Titanic, the remains of the German Battleship Bismark and the discovery of the US aircraft carrier Yorktown, which was sunk during World War II. Most recently, Ballard has spent time in the Black Sea seeking evidence of a great flood, which could uncover proof of the legend of Noah's Ark.

With more than 100 deep-sea expeditions under his belt, Ballard has spent more time underwater than any other scientist in the world.
