Extra incentives make IPC printed circuits expo worth staying for

Keywords: IPC, Exhibitions, Printed circuit boards

Those making plans to attend IPC Printed Circuits Expo will have extra reasons to stay all week as IPC today announced a number of incentives to attend the exhibition through its close. IPC Printed Circuits Expo takes place April 4-6 2000, at the San Diego Convention Center.

Former NASA director and science fiction author Gentry Lee will make a keynote presentation on April 6. Lee will give his vision of the twenty-first century and discuss what inventions and changes in the next century will dominate our lifestyles the way the telephone, airplane and computer have in the twentieth century. And although it is a common belief that there is no such thing as a free lunch, IPC is providing one for all who attend Lee's keynote address. IPC is also holding a raffle on April 6 at which a number of prizes will be awarded.

"Traditionally the slowest traffic day for exhibitors at any trade show is the last day of the event," says IPC director of PWB industry programs Jean Hebeisen. "IPC wanted to give attendees more reasons to visit the show floor on the last day of the exhibition by providing these value-added incentives."

Among the other incentives IPC is offering for Expo attendees to stay through Thursday:

  • Workshops and tutorials will be held on Thursday for the first time, including IPC-A-600 certification.

  • Tours of PWB facilities in the San Diego area.

  • A show floor award presentation for the most innovative product at IPC Printed Circuits Expo, as voted by attendees.

For more information contact Hebeisen at +1 (847) 790-5338, e-mail JeanHebeisen@ipc.org or visit the Expo Web site at www.ipcprintedcircuitexpo.org
