Keywords Graphicode, CAM, Printed circuit boards

GraphiCode, Inc. has released a CAM optimized for Windows NT and 95/98. GraphiCode and Mania have joined forces to create GC-PowerStation, a new CAM Station designed specifically for printed circuit board CAM.

GC-PowerStation is a true Windows application. Productivity comprises of multiple windows, configurable toolbars, job explorer, and fast data editing. Business benefits include faster learning curve, lower cost of ownership, lower work stress, higher productivity, and fewer errors. Customers can expect to see GC-PowerStation on the market during the first quarter of 2000.

GC-PowerStation offers a broad line of CAM products tailored for specific tasks. The added automation capabilities will reduce user input, ensuring accuracy and reliability for tasks like panelization and autofix of DFM errors. All relevant data inputs will be supported including ODB++, DPF, Gerber, IPC-356-A, Valor-compatible DFM and EDIF 400. Outputs will be modular, except for Gerber 274D and 274X.

GC-PowerStation contains advanced microvia technology: blind/buried drills, sophisticated laser drill support, the ability to handle very small features, and HDI-specific DFM checks. This highly developed technology guarantees for smaller PCBs with drill holes about the width of a human hair.
