New Zealand association changes its name
At its 1998 Annual General Meeting, the New Zealand Library and Information Association agreed to change its name to the Library and Information Association of New Zealand Aotearoa (LIANZA). The Maori name of Te Rau Herenga o Aotearoa remains unchanged.
A new logo for the Association using its new name was launched on the last day of the NZLIA conference.
