Pinder Versatool have been asked by long standing client Martin Baker, manufacturer of ejection seat and escape system technology for the aerospace industry, to design and manufacture a CNC tool storage station that was more accessible and stores more tooling than anything standard in the marketplace.

Pinder Versatool achieved this by designing a very flexible storage system with three height-adjustable, fully extendable drawers with anti-tilt locking, each holding 24 tools. It also has two further adjustable shelves each holding 16 tools – a total capacity of 104 – ISO40 Tool Holders. Both drawers and shelves are supplied with a labelling system for quick and easy identification of each tool. They can also be adapted to store all common taper sizes and be manufactured to suit the customers tooling storage requirements. Options include a hinged, lockable door, plinth mounting for easy positioning or with castors. Martin Baker have taken delivery of a first batch of units and are extremely pleased with the end result.

Pinder Versatool have added the CNC tool storage station to its Versatool Range. Launched at MACH 2006.
