Sensis Corporation acquires Perigee LLC
Sensis Corporation recently announced that it has acquired Perigee LLC, a Liverpool, NY-based provider of hardware and software engineering services and product development. The acquisition provides Sensis with experienced, local engineering talent, product development expertise and an accelerated entrance into new markets.
“Perigee has assisted clients in bringing dozens of new products to market in its eight- year history,” said Jud Gostin, CEO, Sensis Corporation. “Perigee's capabilities, experience and relationships will accelerate our entrance into commercial markets, helping to sustain our revenue growth. Its signal processing expertise will also reinforce Sensis' historic strength in radar upgrades and service life extensions.”
Perigee is a provider of advanced electronic hardware, software, and semiconductor design services and product development to industrial and consumer electronics manufacturers. Perigee customers utilize the company's hardware and software design, development and testing expertise to transform product concepts or marketing opportunities into market ready products.
With the acquisition, Perigee will conduct business as a division of Sensis, joining the company's Air Defense Systems and Air Traffic Systems divisions.
Sensis has also announced that to accommodate its rapid growth, it is expanding its Enterprise facility in East Syracuse, NY from 66,400 to 100,000 ft2. The expansion will provide additional manufacturing space, engineering labs, training and demo facilities, and offices and conference rooms. Further, the company recently signed a lease for a 69,000 ft2 office building and 8,000 ft2 dining and health facility in DeWitt, NY, with an expected occupancy in Q4 of calendar year 2004. Employees who currently occupy Sensis' Widewaters facility in DeWitt, NY will occupy these buildings.
