IFR has announced the establishment of a pan-European production test services (PTS) group to provide companies throughout Europe with a "one-stop-shop" for all their board test requirements. It is reported to provide a complete solution for companies requiring fixtures, programs, service and calibration of board test systems or custom test services/solutions. Even the most demanding technologies such as RF screened test fixtures for high frequency applications such as telecommunications are supported.
Based on its business model pioneered in the UK, the pan-European PTS Group combines IFR's expertise in automatic test equipment (ATE), service and calibration with its board test solutions knowledge to create the largest organisation of its kind in Europe.
As well as its two centres in the UK – Stevenage and Donbristle, Scotland – PTS has opened additional centres in Paris (Evry), France and Munich (Dachau), Germany and now has a total of over 60 experienced engineers. In addition, IFR has set up a pan-European sales network for its PTS services both directly and in conjunction with established channel partners.
