Actel recently announced it has been awarded full certification to Qualified Manufacturers Listing (QML) status. This certification confirms that Actel has an approved quality system and has control of its processes and procedures according to the standards laid out in the MIL-PRF-38535 specification.
QML certification was granted by the Defence Supply Centre, Columbus, Ohio and refers to processes and materials, rather than individual products or production lots. Extensive qualification will precede the introduction of each new product line before it can be shipped in mass quantities. As Actel continues to expand its HiRel and Space FPGA lines, all new devices will be fully QML-certified when they reach market. Actel has been supplying QML-qualified radiation hardened devices since 1996 through its partnership with Lockheed Martin Federal Systems. Actel will also continue to audit and control its approved subcontractors, to assure continuing compliance with the QML requirements.
