RAe open Asia Pacific regional aircraft support office in Australia

Keywords Australia, British Aerospace

Sydney, Australia has been selected as the location for a newly established support office to strengthen British Aerospace's commitment to its regional aircraft customers throughout the Asia Pacific region. British Aerospace Australia will be responsible for the establishment and operation of the Sydney support office, which will be headed by Bruce Jones, senior vice-president Australasian support.

The primary role of this organisation will be to provide a co-ordinated point of contact for customers in the region operating the BAe 146/RJ, J31/J32, J41, HS748 and ATP aircraft. The office will be equipped to provide full technical support, including repair design work, spares engineering support and information, assistance and advice on all support issues and services provided by British Aerospace Regional Aircraft.

In addition, British Aerospace Regional Aircraft is currently relocating its Singapore-based spares stock to Australia and at the same time increasing the stock range to meet the expectations of both 146/RJ and Jetstream customers in the region. Distribution and warehousing agreements are being finalised and by early in September the spares warehouse will have completed its move to Australia.
