Temperature calibration operations, making temperature control adjustments and taking test measurements under real (working) conditions requires calibration instruments that are easily mobile, accurate and robust. We are informed that the latest Sika TP28000 Series portable, precision calibrators from Star Instruments has been designed to provide calibration to DIN-ISO 9000-9004 QA standards, specifically for this purpose (Plate 12).

TI Series calibrators operate with electronically-controlled heatable and coolable aluminium or brass blocks, depending on the temperature range. For holding test pieces the blocks can have one or three holes. Block-temperature is programmed by push-button and can be set to an accuracy of 1/10K.

Block temperature or measured temperature can be selected for display on the calibrator's integral 41Ž2-digit digital display with a resolution of 1/10K.

Switchable sensor input allows calibration, adjustment and inspection of resistance thermometers, standard thermocouples, temperature switches and thermostats. Thermometers are inspected by comparing the temperature reading of the test piece with the block-temperature digital readout.
