Oil cooler units

Oil cooler units

Serck Aviation has been awarded a contract for ten flight development engine/hydraulic oil cooler units for the Kaveri engine which will power the new Indian LCA (light combat aircraft). Delivery is required by February 1999.

Kaveri is the name given to the GTX-35 turbofan engine being developed by the Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE) in Bangalore.

LCA is intended as a replacement for current Indian Airforce Mig 21 and Ajeet aircraft. It is also possible that a navalised variant will be developed to replace the existing fleet of 23 Indian Navy Sea Harriers.
