Director of flight operations for airlift and tanker programmes at Boeing

Don Brown has been named director of Flight Operations for airlift and tanker programmes at The Boeing Company in Long Beach, California. Boeing builds the C-17 Globemaster III cargo airplane in Long Beach for the US Air Force.

Brown spent nine years with McDonnell Douglas as a test pilot on the MD-80 and MD-11 airliners and the C-17. Boeing and McDonnell Douglas merged in August of this year.
