The American Coatings Show and Conference (ACSE) is on its way to Indianapolis in 2012

Article Type: Conferences, training and publications From: Anti-Corrosion Methods and Materials, Volume 58, Issue 6

With 328 exhibitors and some 6,700 attendees from 61 countries, the ACSE, held for the second time in 2010, firmly established itself as a highlight for the American coatings industry. The combination trade show and conference, which took place in April 2010 in Charlotte, North Carolina, offered a comprehensive array of products and information for all aspects of coatings technology. Preparations are now underway for 2012 and the new Indianapolis venue.

The ACSE is held every two years. The next one will take place from 7-10 May 2012, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, IN, in the heart of the Manufacturing Belt, the oldest and largest concentration of industrial companies in the Northeast. The ACSE is organized by the American Coatings Association (ACA), Washington, DC, and Vincentz Network, Hanover/Germany, and run by NürnbergMesse North America, Atlanta, GA.

As always, the 2012 American Coatings Conference will begin a day before the show on 7 May, and end on 9 May. The American Coatings Show will run from 8 to 10 May, 2012. “The combination of trade show and conference in one place lets visitors see products, gather information, and make business contacts, which makes this event a valuable experience for our industry,” said J. Andrew Doyle, President and CEO of the ACA. “We’re looking forward to, once again, welcoming coatings experts from North America and around the world.” “After two successful events in Charlotte, the change of venue from the Southeast to the Northeast of the US fulfills a wish expressed by many exhibitors,” said Dirk Ebener, CEO NürnbergMesse North America. “Holding the event in this region makes it possible for additional target groups from the US and Canada to attend.” The Indiana Convention Center was built in 1972 and expanded most recently in January 2011. It offers the latest amenities for trade shows and conventions. Numerous hotels with a total of over 7,000 rooms and many restaurants are in the immediate vicinity, and the airport is only 15 minutes away.
