Scribner analog multi-channel (100+channels) potentiostat for large matrix corrosion testing
Article Type: New materials and equipment From: Anti-Corrosion Methods and Materials, Volume 57, Issue 3
Scribner Associates, Inc. (Southern Pines, NC) introduces a very cost-effective multi-channel potentiostat for corrosion researchers tasked with parallel testing of large sample sets for materials evaluation. The model MCP-445 is ideally suited for short or long-term potentiostatic testing of up to 150 independent electrochemical cells. Applications include corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement testing, protective coating and corrosion inhibitor performance evaluation, and statistics-based materials evaluation.
Each potentiostat card has ten independent and isolated channels capable of two-, three-, or four-electrode measurement. Per channel current range is ±200 mA and working electrode set voltage range ±2 V. Each MCP-445 unit can be populated with up to 15 ten-channel cards, resulting in 150 channels in one compact unit.
The MCP-445 is suitable for bench-top or rack-mounted applications. The system is easy to use and customizable to work with you data acquisition system for current and voltage monitoring. A conformal coat applied to each multichannel potentiostat card provides added protection against moisture, dust, chemicals, temperature extremes, and corrosive lab environments.
