The Sea Horse Conference
Article Type: Conferences, training and publications From: Anti-Corrosion Methods and Materials, Volume 55, Issue 4
The 55th meeting will be held at The Plaza Hotel in Daytona Beach, FL from Sunday, October 26 to Thursday, October 30, 2008. The Sea Horse Conference is a unique forum for informal exchange of information to increase the understanding of marine corrosion problems and their solutions. Join veterans in the marine corrosion field to share a wealth of expertise as well as an exclusive learning experience for newcomers. Regardless of position, individuals involved with ocean and coastal engineering, from sailing on the high seas to plant operation using seawater coolant, need to recognize the problems caused by marine corrosion and the means by which to solve these problems. Previous attendees have found new insight and solutions to their marine corrosion problems from the discussions at this meeting. The knowledge gained and the solutions learned have proven to be an economic benefit to their companies by avoiding failures and reducing life cycle costs. Organiser of the event, The Sea Horse Institute™, brings together engineers, scientists, technicians and maintenance personnel, plant managers, and many others to share their knowledge and years of experience.
Attendees are encouraged to make brief informal presentations and to ask questions. Formal presentations are neither solicited nor permitted. There are no published preprints or proceedings of the meeting.
