UK-based Blagdon Pump has announced that sales figures for the Full Flow 2:1 Diaphragm Pumps, the B25 (1“) and B50 (2”), have exceeded all sales targets for 2004 and look set for a bumper 2005.

Designed specifically for high- pressure applications such as higher viscosity fluids and long or complex pipe runs in various industries, it is proving to be one of the most popular problem solving pumps created by Blagdon Pump.

Commenting on the range's success Sales Manager, Roger Taylor, said: “We are extremely pleased with the performance and sales figures for these pumps. The modern market demands higher and higher standards and we have shown, with the introduction of this pump that we are responding extremely well to these requirements”.

The fundamental uses of every Blagdon Pump is to facilitate liquid transfer, slurry handling, filter feeding, re-circulation, dewatering, low pressure spray supply, tank/sump/ barrel/drum filling and emptying; batching/mixing/metering/dosing or chemical injection.

With these in mind, the benefits of the B25 and B50 Full Flow 2:1 pumps include being simple in construction, easy to maintain, competitively priced, available with a range of diaphragms and are ATEX approved as standard.

Blagdon Pump are already supplying its worldwide distributor network with the B25 and B50 pumps supplying existing demand in the industries such as ink, paint, resin and adhesives.

Ignacio MunÏoz, of Barcelona-based filtration company, TEFSA, has already purchased B50 filter pumps to use for feeding high-pressure units.

Commenting on the pumps, Ignacio said: “Based on more than 25 years of TEFSA experience making filter presses, where we have used a lot of different kinds of pressure pumps, we have to say that the Blagdon Full Flow Pump is the best one for the wide range of applications where it can be used effectively”.

“The high pressure B50 pump gives double flow compared to the most used high pressure pneumatic pumps on the market and it can be used from the first stage (high flow needed) until end of filtration (high pressure needed).”

Blagdon Pump, founded in the early 1950s with its headquarters in Washington, Tyne and Wear, is a specialist pump manufacturer which has expanded over the past 50 years into a leading producer of air operated double diaphragm pumps worldwide.

To strengthen its position in the diaphragm pump market, the US- owned multinational IDEX Corporation acquired Blagdon in 1997.

IDEX regional operation centres in the USA, Europe and Asia support Blagdon Pumps worldwide distribution network.
