The state of the art in protective coatings for ACE and materials handling applications was the subject of a paper delivered to the IVT Conference by the technical manager of Tikkurila Coatings' OEM Industrial Coatings Division, Bob Harris.
In the paper, "European ACE coatings for the 21st century", Bob discussed the factors which have influenced product development, and compares past, present and future coatings technologies. He reviewed the diverse coatings available in the ACE market across Europe, developed in response to variations in environmental legislation and, as the ACE industry enters the twenty-first century, previews the new technologies and coatings that may become commonplace.
