Canusa Systems', zero halogen heatshrink products have qualified for the rail industry's supplier approval scheme and inclusion on the Link-Up Network.

The company has developed ranges of zero halogen tubings and specialist heatshrink cable accessories for the automotive and mass transit industries. These have been registered under the Railpart and Signalling Equipment product groupings.

The tubing range comprises thin, medium and heavy wall tubings with properties and characteristics to suit a wide variety of applications. For the complete environmental protection required in URD, submersible or direct bury installations they are offered in an adhesive-lined format which seals to IP68. For trackside applications, Canusa's specialist FCFW Grade, flame retardant, heavy wall heatshrink tubing is designed to provide full insulation and protection to electrical splices and terminations, in aggressive environment. This high specification, 3:1 shrink ratio, flame retardant tubing is said to provide effective resistance to impact, abrasion, corrosion and chemicals.
