Abstract

The invention relates to a method for intelligently matching numerical control tools on the basis of human-machine interaction (HMI), and is suitable for the field of intellectualized decision on advanced manufacturing process. By matching tools in an HMI manner and providing intelligent assistance for procedures for matching the tools by way of the methods, such as tool selection, length calculation for automatic assembly, display of the tool family tree, tool selection progress prompt and the like, at the same time, the invention can improve the efficiency of tool selection. The invention solves the problem that the efficiency of matching and assembling numerical control tools is low in machinery manufacturing enterprises, provides software environment for the auxiliary selection and assembly of tools and provides overall support for related personnel involved in links of process and production.

Abstract

One aspect related to design of systems and methods for manufacturing products that include technology in skilled areas is configuring a production station for use by an operator without specialized skills. The present invention contemplates an approach to designing a station configurable to perform one or more of incoming inspection, assembly, testing, and branding. A preferred approach includes verifying data associated with units prior to accepting them for incorporation, preventing incorporation of an incorrect unit, and guiding an operator in possible remedial action. This approach includes storing data in a server and making such data substantially instantly accessible to production stations once written in the server. Such data preferably include software to configure the production station such that the operator need not have specialized skills. A production station designed using this approach is particularly useful in the manufacture of an outdoor unit of a split-mount microwave radio system.

Abstract

A system and method for advanced device specific knowledge-based modeling as well as intelligent control to yield high-performance, low-cost automation for optoelectronic design, packaging and assembly. The control loop design is based on knowledge-based model predictive control. A knowledge model, specific to the assembled package’s characteristics, is used to set the initial “feed-forward” conditions of an automation system. In addition to this feed-forward model for setting the initial set point, the controller is designed with feedback components, along with the inclusion of a built in sensor. This system and method increases the efficiency of the automation process and the number of assembly steps can be greatly reduced. A method for the design, assembly and packaging of optoelectronic devices is also described.
