Microscan
This is the corporate web site for Microscan, a company that offers products for ID tracking and traceability, focusing primarily on barcode reading and machine vision inspection for a wide range of automation and OEM applications.
Their web site contains a wealth of information on the company’s ten different industry solutions, auto id, and machine vision products. There is a service and support center where visitors can register to receive unlimited access and downloads of Microscan’s product specifications, user manuals, software, CAD files, and more. A Training and Resources link provides online videos and on-demand training presentations as well as white papers. There is also information on partners, company news including an Enewsletter, a download center, and other valuable resources.
Auto-ID Labs
The Auto-ID Labs represent seven of the world’s most renowned academic research laboratories in the field of networked RFID.
The site visitor is first drawn to the middle of the home page, where there is a full text search of scientific publications in the world’s most comprehensive database on RFID. Below this is a link for the visitor to register to upload his/her publications to add to the database.
The top of the web site contains links to the seven auto id research labs. The web site also contains information on the labs’ mission, research, flagship projects, news, and events.
Cognex Corp
Cognex Corporation is the world’s leading provider of vision systems, vision software, vision sensors, and surface inspection systems used in manufacturing automation. Cognex is also a leader in industrial ID readers.
Their web site is extremely comprehensive yet easy-to-navigate, and provides detailed information on products and support, applications and industries, tools and programs to learn about vision, and the company. There are additional links for videos, high-resolution photos, and downloads for all their products.
There is a specific link for ID products, which contains further information on their DataMan Reader and Verifiers, and In-Sight Readers.
Cincinnati Automation
Cincinnati Automation provides machine vision, laser, and robotic systems integration services for industry. They specialize in inspection systems with component parts and assemblies for the automotive, medical device, pharmaceutical, consumer product, and printing industries.
At the top of the home page there is an ongoing slide show and a brief description of some of their inspection solutions. There are also links to their standard inspection products, applications and products, testimonials, company profile, news and press releases, and a free evaluation for new projects.
