Procter & Gamble, a global leader in consumer goods, has signed a supplier agreement with Honeywell. Under this global agreement, Honeywell will provide its PlantScape® hybrid control system, after-market support and training to Procter & Gamble sites around the world.

"We are delighted that Procter & Gamble chose PlantScape and TotalPlant® Batch to reduce their life-cycle costs worldwide. We value our long-standing business relationship with the company and take pride in our ability to help standardize their operations", said John Weber, president of Honeywell Industrial Control.

After an extensive life-cycle cost analysis, Procter & Gamble concluded that Honeywell's PlantScape system and TotalPlant Batch would provide the company with long-term solutions that can significantly improve the overall operations of their businesses. The PlantScape system is being recommended as a solution for control in all Procter & Gamble process businesses.

A signing ceremony was held at the Honeywell IAC headquarters in Phoenix and at the Honeywell, Cincinnati, Ohio location. To celebrate the agreement, Honeywell employees are donating Procter & Gamble products to the Desert Mission Food Bank in Phoenix and to the Free Store/Food Bank in Cincinnati.

"Honeywell employees are donating Procter & Gamble products to acknowledge this significant new alliance, while supporting the community by supplying local food banks with household products that are consistently in demand", said Weber.

The PlantScape True Hybrid Control™ system combines the best features of both Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), integrating batch, sequential and discrete control functions, while including SCADA, safety management, building security and access control.

TotalPlant Batch is an open, object-oriented software application for modular batch automation. It can be easily scaled to address the full range of batch requirements – from single-unit applications to highly complex, network-structured, multi-product applications.

Procter & Gamble markets approximately 300 brands to nearly five billion consumers in over 140 countries. These brands include Tide, Ariel, Crest, Pantene Pro-V, Always, Whisper, Pringles, Pampers, Oil of Olay, Iams and Vicks. Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, Procter & Gamble has on the ground operations in over 70 countries and employs more than 110,000 employees worldwide.
