Editorial statement

Article Type: Editorial statement From: Policing: An International Journal of Police Strategies & Management, Volume 37, Issue 3

We would like to welcome you to the third issue of the 2014 calendar year, Volume 37, Issue 3 of Policing: An International Journal of Police Strategies & Management. This issue is particularly broad in its focus on a number of topics relevant to policing as we have articles devoted toward police students’ backgrounds and career aspirations, impediments and recommendations for evaluating crisis intervention teams, the integration of crime analysis into patrol work, police service quality, child exploitation investigation, use of force, leadership styles, attitudes toward the police, research on policing in East Asia, the legacy of LEMAS, and job stress, fatigue, and burnout among police officers. In addition, this issue is also noticeably international in its focus as its coverage includes East Asia generally and countries such as Taiwan and China.

We certainly hope that this issue is well received, and, as always, we at Policing: An International Journal of Police Strategies & Management encourage you to submit your work for publication consideration when you believe it to be a potentially appropriate outlet.
