Ukrainian leader tries to limit corruption-case damage

Such scandals are nothing new in Ukraine but some allegations demanded urgent attention as they concerned harm to the war effort. Under pressure from media revelations, Zelensky tried to turn them to his advantage by acting with speed and resolve, and dealing with other cases in the process.


  • Indecision on the defence minister's future highlights the shortage of suitably appointable officials in the Zelensky team.
