Turning human imperfections into productivity gains
Abstract
The flawed hero is a staple of literature, and a fact of life for companies across the world. Yet companies and management systems rarely cater for anything other than a perfect employee. Instead of seeing employees as highly diverse and imperfect human beings who can achieve great things by working together, management systems often focus on trying to perfect employees’ intellectual and technical skills. These systems can prevent employees from bringing the totality of their skills and talents to bear in the workplace. Outlines how to lead talented but flawed individuals to their full productive potential.
