I was often inspired by an upcoming holiday or changing of the season. These holy days and seasonal changes are natural times for us to step back and reflect on deeper issues, larger patterns, and the major lessons of the seasons of our lives.

Part 3 offers spiritual reflections on what a few holidays and seasons, at least from a Western perspective, might offer us for the integration of our work and our spirituality. The essays begin with A New Year: Noble Purpose, with an invitation to dwell on the idea that every one of us is gifted with a noble purpose. There are spiritual reflections on New Year's Day, Interfaith Harmony Day, Valentine's Day and spring, with suggestions on how we might apply the focus of each of these days and seasons as an opportunity to bring more love and spirituality into our places of work. There are also essays on Labor Day and how to see our work as sacred. The essay on Winter Holy Days provides a practical guide to the different religious traditions in December and how they might be honored in the workplace, especially in our language. This section concludes with my reflections on collaboration that arose out of watching the movie “Miracle on 34th Street” as a child. Each of these essays offers new ways of seeing, as well as practical spiritual practices for you to consider.
