Abstract
Looks at the importance of research and development in clinical decision making, stating that research is the first building block in this process. Examines the Department of Health’s Research Governance Framework and how this can be used in the National Health Service. States that an implementation plan will be pubished shortly which will prioritise areas for early compliance.
