Are organisations prepared to rethink principles as well as practice?

Abstract

The article suggests ways in which the concepts contained in best value can be used to review the quality and effectiveness of social care services and in particular those concerned with substance misuse. Examples are given to show how the service to users can be improved or made more accessible.
