Abstract
Sets out to discover how best to encourage workers to give their energy and commitment. Rejects the view that people are solely motivated by material advantage and stresses the desire of workers to feel included and valued. Rejects various aspects of the “traditional leadership approach”. Emphasizes the need to build a partnership between workers and management and for all to feel involved in every aspect of the organization.
