Librarians, who are they?

Abstract

States that many librarians are ill‐prepared for an assault on their professional status, in the light of current organizational life ‐ outsourcing, downsizing and clericalization. Suggests that librarians must be able to show that what they achieve is based on their qualifications and which is not readily duplicated by others.
