A united approach
Abstract
Charts the progress of French sub‐contractor SRPI in its attempt to gain ISO 9002 approval in the wake of customers demanding ever higher standards. Defines the steps taken to instigate a TQM programme, drawing up a quality manual and re‐defining the role of quality control managers. The emphasis is on education and preventative maintenance rather than traditional “policing” production lines. Concludes that as well as emphasizing the importance of quality, the exercise has led to SRPI winning new contracts.
