Considers the implications of the EC health and safety directives that impinge on property. Discusses the directives themselves, implementation, ergonomics at work, and workstation requirements, particularly in terms of equipment, environment and human‐computer interface. Concludes that the ergonomic approach benefits the organization in terms of staff satisfaction and reduced risk of injury and compensation claims.
