Abstract

This paper presents the work on the implementation of developing graphical simulation models. The work of development emphasises the integrated approach in the product and process design, where same product data source has been shared and used for analyses in virtual environment of various manufacturing activities including product development, production planning, assembly analysis, work study, workplace design, operation simulation and plant layout. It describes the methodology adopted and a discussion is given on the pros and cons of using an e‐manufacture software for the development.
