Polish mass privatisation scheme: The programme of nationalinvestment funds
Abstract
The Polish programme of National Investment Funds is a particular form of mass privatisation. The purpose of this programme is to implement a privatisation of a definite part of the state property, to create conditions for all adult Polish citizens residing in Poland to participate in the distribution of the value of that property, to provide favourable conditions of development to the enterprises covered by the programme and to improve the effectiveness of their authorisation. This article analyses the extent to which these objectives have been attained.
