Abstract

States that the transport industry has traditionally been male dominated. Focuses on recent studies and findings in the automotive and transportation/logistic professions that are historically most exposed to sexual discrimination. Covers wage differentials, advancement opportunities, and glass ceiling issues. Looks at efforts to fight such issues and provides some examples of case law. Concludes that the increasingly competitive business environment and the cost of litigation have led to much improvement in this industry.
