Changes affecting leadership and its importance in organisations

Abstract

Considers five forces which affect leadership in the twenty‐first century. Discusses each, in turn, and provides brief examples from industry. Outlines changes required for leadership and details seven characteristics commonly found in successful business leaders. Summarizes the skills which today’s leaders need to address.
