Abstract
Purpose
The escalating global mortality rates attributed to cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) have drawn the attention of the World Health Organization (WHO), prompting researchers worldwide to address this pressing health concern actively. This study aims to unravel insights into the relationship between specific diets and CVDs by examining authors, countries, articles, journal productivity and their impact.
Design/methodology/approach
Diet patterns are recognised as contributing to the rise of CVDs, prompting a comprehensive analysis of relevant literature from Scopus, Web of Science and PubMed databases using the Biblioshiny software.
Findings
The analysis delves into cluster development and major themes within the literature, encompassing holistic approaches to cardiovascular health, the nexus between diet, nutrition and cardiovascular health, the impact of plant-based diets on diverse populations, the role of the Mediterranean diet in cardiovascular health and the influence of dietary diversity on cardiovascular health across cultures.
Originality/value
Noteworthy developments in emerging areas like dietary history records, NutriOptimisation and MediCulinary Sensitivity are identified, providing a foundation for future researchers to contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 3.

Abstract
Purpose
India has a marvelous distinction of hosting religious and cultural extravaganzas on an enormous scale, keeping in with its rich lineage and civilizational assortment. The philosophical threads of such festivals are eventually subjective well-being and spiritual awakening. In this context, the authors examine how the visitors' festival motivation culminates in life satisfaction and subjective well-being.
Design/methodology/approach
The study follows a theory-driven deductive approach to test the construed relationships. The data were collected from the sites of religious fiesta when the participants were immersed in their cultural fervor. The study uses structural equation modeling to examine the hypothesized model.
Findings
The study finds that place attachment and life satisfaction empirically mediate the relationship between festival motivation and subjective well-being. However, the relationship between place attachment and subjective well-being is not empirically strong when life satisfaction mediates their relationship.
Research limitations/implications
The study is based on a convenience sample and is limited to the visitors of local religious festivals. Future research must verify the suitability of the model in other types of festivals of other religions and different locations. Also, this research deliberates on the relationship between only four variables. Future researchers could discuss other variables such as authenticity, emotional solidarity, festival images, festival values, religious faith, etc. to develop a more robust model to explain the relationship between festival motivation and subjective well-being.
Practical implications
In India regardless of social strata, people are religiously conscious and inclined toward attending publicly celebrated religious festivals. The scale of these festivals is significant and given the scenario, the local Government has to join hands with the temple administration, local people and visitors to reap the full benefits of the festival. These temple festivals not only foster coordination and involvement among various stakeholders, but also invoke the devotion of the people to jointly organize the celebrations.
Social implications
As some of the religious festivals go beyond caste, creed and nationality, the celebrations should evolve as multi-cultural mass events uniting the societal cohesiveness, spirit and national culture. The variables chosen and results found in this study will surely support publicizing the significance of religious festivals in the region and provide an idea to the organizers and supporters to develop new strategies to promote similar events.
Originality/value
The results claim several implications for theory and practice. Theoretically, the study contributes to the literature on religious tourism and event management. Practically, the study discussions indicate the importance of disseminating the significance of religious festivals as a platform for local tourist attractions to generate social, cultural and economic benefits.

Abstract
Purpose
Aerospace and defence industries use the materials having better properties at elevated temperatures, and Inconel 718 is one of that. The complexity in realizing complex and intricate shapes necessitate the product realization through additive manufacturing. This paper aims to investigate the wear behaviour of additive manufactured material.
Design/methodology/approach
The wear behaviour of additively manufactured Inconel 718 samples through direct metal laser sintering process at three different build orientations was experimentally investigated using a standard pin-on-disc wear tester.
Findings
Among the varied wear parameters, the load was identified as the most influencing parameter on the wear rate. In addition, the post-failure analysis of the worn surface of the pins under the scanning electron microscopy revealed the presence of various wear mechanisms.
Originality/value
Almost, the industries are now focussed on their production through additive manufacturing owing to its advantages. The present work displays the wear behaviour of the additive manufactured Inconel 718 and its associated wear mechanisms.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to investigate the effect of laser surface texturing (LST) on the wear behavior of C-263 nickel-based superalloy and to identify the optimum wear operating condition.
Design/methodology/approach
C-263 nickel-based superalloy was selected as substrate material and pico-second Nd-YAG laser was used to fabricate the waviness groove texture on their surface. Wear experiments were designed based on Box-Bhenken design with three factors of sliding velocity, sliding distance and applied load. Wear experiments were performed using pin on disc tribometer. Morphologies of textures and worn-out surfaces were evaluated by scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy. Surface topographies and surface roughness of the textures were evaluated by weight light interferometry. The response surface methodology was adopted to identify the optimum wear operating condition and ANOVA to identify the significant factors.
Findings
LST improves the wear resistance of C-263 nickel-based superalloy by appeoximately 82 per cent. Higher wear rate occurs at maximum values of all operating conditions, and applied load affects the coefficient of friction. Applied load significantly affects the wear rate of un-textured specimen. The interaction of sliding velocity and applied load also affects the wear rate of textured specimens. The optimum parameters to get minimum wear rate for un-textured specimens are 1.5 m/s sliding velocity, 725 m sliding distance and 31 N of applied load. For textured specimens, the optimum values are 1.5 m/s sliding distance, 500 m sliding distance and 40 N of the applied load.
Originality/value
Literature on laser texturing on nickel-based superalloy is very scarce. Specifically, the effect of laser texturing on wear behavior of the nickel-based superalloy C-263 alloy is not yet reported.

Abstract
Purpose
The study aims to investigate students' attitudes toward using technology for micro-credential programs (MCPs) and their behavioral intention toward using MCPs for learning and enhancing their skills. The study also intends to investigate the moderating influence of labor market conditions (LMC).
Design/methodology/approach
A closed-ended questionnaire is employed to collect data from 474 participants through a convenience sample, from the university students in Karachi. Two theoretical frameworks are used in the study: technology acceptance model (TAM) and self-determination theory (SDT). The partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) technique is used to analyze data.
Findings
Findings reveal significant and positive relationships between all variables, except controlled motivation (CM) and perceived challenges. Moreover, the moderation results ascertain that the labor market does not moderate the relationship between attitude toward using technology for MCPs and students' behavioral intention toward using MCPs for learning.
Originality/value
The study seeks to understand students' attitudes and behavioral intentions toward using technology for MCPs. Also, the moderating effect of LMC is highlighted in understanding the impact of the attitude to use technology (AT) for MCPs and behavioral intentions in higher educational institutions (HEIs) in Pakistan. The study highlights intuitive practical implications for students of HEIs, universities and digital credential program providers.

Abstract
Purpose
The objective of this study was to examine the relationships among festival personality, satisfaction and loyalty. Also, the study further analyzed the moderation effect of involvement on the relationships between festival personality, satisfaction and loyalty.
Design/methodology/approach
The authors adopt a two-stage mixed-method approach. Through a list of brand personality traits from previous research and in-depth interviews with participants of a film festival, festival personality constructs were identified: exceptional, competent, reliable and cozy. The authors then analyzed an integrative model of festival personality, satisfaction, involvement and loyalty from the qualitative findings. A survey with a convenience sample of 279 film festival participants was conducted.
Findings
The findings suggest that festival personality influence satisfaction and loyalty. Furthermore, this study confirms the significant impact of involvement on the relationships between festival personality, satisfaction and loyalty.
Originality/value
This study enables authors to understand the festival personality from the perspective of the visitors and expands the theoretical understanding of how the personality of the festival affects the visitors. The findings of this study suggest that the festival personality can be predictors and determinants of participants' satisfaction and loyalty. Also, this is one of the first attempts to identify the effects of involvement on festival personality and its outcomes. Current research findings demonstrated involvement as a moderator variable in the relationships between festival personality and festival satisfaction and loyalty.

Abstract
Purpose
The utilisation of renewable energy sources for generating electricity and potable water is one of the most sustainable approaches in the current scenario. Therefore, the current research aims to design and develop a novel co-generation system to address the electricity and potable water needs of rural areas.
Design/methodology/approach
The cogeneration system mainly consists of a solar parabolic dish concentrator (SPDC) system with a concentrated photo-voltaic module at the receiver for electricity generation. It is further integrated with a low-temperature thermal desalination (LTTD) system for generating potable water. Also, a novel corn cob filtration system is introduced for the pre-treatment to reduce the salt content in seawater before circulating it into the receiver of the SPDC system. The designed novel co-generation system has been numerically and experimentally tested to analyse the performance at Karaikal, U.T. of Puducherry, India.
Findings
Because of the pre-treatment with a corn cob, the scale formation in the pipes of the SPDC system is significantly reduced, which enhances the efficiency of the system. It is observed that the conductivity, pH and TDS of seawater are reduced significantly after the pre-treatment by the corncob filtration system. Also, the integrated system is capable of generating 6–8 litres of potable water per day.
Originality/value
The integration of the corncob filtration system reduced the scaling formation compared to the general circulation of water in the hoses. Also, the integrated SPDC and LTTD systems are comparatively economical to generate higher yields of clean water than solar stills.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to develop a Mini-Tribometer for in-situ observation of subsurface.
Design/methodology/approach
To observe the change of the microstructure during wear in real time, an in-situ observation mini-tribometer was developed according to the requirements of the basic frictional experiments and carried out the verification experiments.
Findings
The subsurface images and the tribological data obtained from the mini-tribometer clearly show that the graphite in the matrix moves to the surface and takes part in lubrication mainly in the form of extrusion and peeling off, and the migration of graphite in the copper-based composite to the frictional interface to act as lubricant and to result in the decrease of the friction coefficient. The experimental results of the developed tribometer are accurate, which can provide important references for further research on the wear mechanism of materials.
Originality/value
The developed in-situ observation mini-tribometer can be used to observe the dynamic wear mechanism of the frictional pairs, which is very important for optimization of material design and tribological performances.
