Abstract
Purpose
South Asian region is a focal point owing to its vulnerabilities to climate-sensitive diseases, dependence on climate-sensitive livelihoods, projected levels of crop decline in the region, and high rates of poverty and malnutrition. Women are particularly vulnerable to climate change and this affects women disproportionately during different extreme events. The purpose of this paper is to understand the issue of climate change and its impact, and climate resilience among women in South Asia. Further, it also identifies the gaps and suggests future policy implications.
Design/methodology/approach
Climate change is increasingly being recognised as an alarming issue and the present review is important when South Asian countries are facing the brunt of climate change impacts. This paper tries to understand the issue by review of the literature and conceptual framework methodology. To understand women’s vulnerability due to climate change and its aftermath, the authors conducted both offline and online desk reviews for this study.
Findings
The findings of this study show a clear linkage between climate change and women’s vulnerabilities in South Asia. Climate change has significant socio-economic impacts on women, and it affects them disproportionately in various domains of agriculture, livelihood, food security, both physical and mental health, water and sanitation in the South Asia region.
Practical implications
The paper also highlights that the programmes that aim at combating the effects of climate change require a gender-sensitive approach so that climate change does not obstruct the development and reduction of poverty in the region.
Social implications
The findings of this paper will add value in helping families to come out of poverty by undertaking adaptive measures with proactive assistance from the government and grassroots level organisations.
Originality/value
The present study also advocates for more gender- and climate-sensitive measures from governments, and implementation of intervention- and evidence-based research in the South Asian countries.

Abstract
Purpose
The study investigates the impact of psychological contract breach on employees' innovative behavior and well-being (happiness, work engagement and mental well-being) who are working from home during this COVID-19 pandemic situation. Drawing on social information processing (SIP) and job-demand resource (JD-R) theory, job stress was proposed as a mediator explaining this relationship.
Design/methodology/approach
Data were collected via a structured questionnaire through Google Docs from 258 respondents working at different capacity in Indian organizations. The study includes those respondents who are working from home during COVID-19 pandemic situation. The hypotheses were tested using structural equation modeling (SEM).
Findings
Psychological contract breach was negatively impacting innovative behavior and well-being. Job stress mediated the relationship between psychological contract breach and innovative behavior as well as well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic situation and especially for those who are working from home only.
Research limitations/implications
The data for the study were collected from the employees working from home during this COVID-19 pandemic situation was cross-sectional. The study implied or spoke about the unmet expectations leading to reduced innovative behavior harming the organization's effectiveness and it also reduces well-being which harms the individual in the era of social and financial uncertainty.
Originality/value
The novel contribution of the study is integrating SIP and JD-R theory during the pandemic situation. The results highlighted meticulous empirical evidence which answers the question that how the unmet expectations cause a detrimental effect on the employees as well as the organizations in this COVID-19 pandemic situation.

Abstract
Purpose
The study aims to investigate hotel employees’ intentions to stay in industry with the mediating role of psychological contract fulfilment (PCF) and moderating role of positive emotions and position held (frontline employees vs managers) in post-lockdown era.
Design/methodology/approach
The study has followed quantitative approach following the cross-sectional design. 414 respondents of hotel industry were contacted via online and offline method. The data was analysed using partial least square method using SmartPLS 3.0.
Findings
The findings suggest that perceived organizational support and supervisor trust had a good impact on psychological contract fulfilment and contributed positively to psychological empowerment. Additionally, psychological empowerment positively impacted psychological well-being and psychological well-being positively impacted intention to stay in hotel industry. PCF positively mediated the relationship between organizational support, trust in supervisor and psychological empowerment. Positive emotions positively moderated the relationship between PCF and psychological empowerment. Multi-group analysis revealed that the managers and frontline employees perceived the PCF and psychological well-being differently.
Originality/value
To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this study is one of the few to explore the intention to stay in hotel industry by integrating social exchange theory, organization support theory and broaden-and-build theory post lockdown circumstances.

研究方法
采用定量方法的横断面设计。通过线上和线下的方式联系了414位酒店行业的受访者。使用Smartpls 3.0软件对数据进行偏最小二乘法分析。
研究发现
组织支持感和上级信任感对心理契约履行有显著影响, 对心理赋能有正向影响。此外, 心理赋能正向影响心理幸福感, 心理幸福感正向影响酒店业留任意愿。心理契约履行正向中介组织支持、主管信任与心理赋能之间的关系。积极情绪正向调节心理契约履行与心理赋能的关系。多群体分析显示, 管理者和一线员工对心理契约履行和心理幸福感的感知存在差异。
独创性
本文结合社会交换理论、组织支持理论和扩宽构建理论, 是为数不多探讨后封锁环境下酒店业留任意愿的研究。
Objetivo
El estudio tiene como objetivo investigar la intención de los empleados de hotel de permanecer en la industria con el papel mediador del cumplimiento del contrato psicológico y el papel moderador de las emociones positivas y la posición ocupada (empleados de primera línea v/s directivos) en la era post-cierre patronal.
Metodología
El estudio ha seguido un enfoque cuantitativo con un diseño transversal. Se contactó con 414 encuestados del sector hotelero a través de métodos online y offline. Los datos se analizaron mediante el método de mínimos cuadrados parciales con Smartpls 3.0.
Resultados
Los resultados sugieren que el apoyo organizativo percibido y la confianza del supervisor tuvieron un buen impacto en el cumplimiento del contrato psicológico y contribuyeron positivamente a la capacitación psicológica. Además, el empoderamiento psicológico influyó positivamente en el bienestar psicológico y el bienestar psicológico influyó positivamente en la intención de permanecer en la industria hotelera. El cumplimiento del contrato psicológico medió positivamente en la relación entre el apoyo organizativo, la confianza en el supervisor y el empoderamiento psicológico. Las emociones positivas moderaron positivamente la relación entre el cumplimiento del contrato psicológico y la capacitación psicológica. El análisis multigrupo reveló que los directivos y los empleados de primera línea percibían de forma diferente el cumplimiento del contrato psicológico y el bienestar psicológico.
Originalidad
El estudio es uno de los pocos que exploran la intención de permanecer en la industria hotelera integrando la teoría del intercambio social, la teoría del apoyo organizativo y la teoría de ampliar y construir en circunstancias posteriores al cierre.

Abstract
Purpose
The study aimed at understanding the relationship between psychological contract breach, well-being indicators, i.e. subjective well-being and mental well-being and innovative behaviour.
Design/methodology/approach
Data were collected via a structured questionnaire through Google docs from 238 academicians working at different capacity in Indian academic industries. The hypotheses were tested using structural equation modelling.
Findings
Psychological contract breach was positively impacting occupational stress and occupational stress was negatively impacting work engagement. Work engagement positively impacted innovative behaviour and well-being indicators. Occupational stress and work engagement mediated the relationship between psychological contract breach and well-being and innovative behaviour.
Research limitations/implications
The data for the study were collected from the employees working in education industry during the unlock COVID-19 pandemic situation.
Originality/value
The study contributes by integrating social exchange theory (SET) and job-demands resources (JD-R) theory in the pandemic situation. In the current COVID-19 pandemic circumstance, the results showed precise factual evidence that answers the question of how unfulfilled expectations have a negative impact on academicians and educational institutions.

Abstract
Purpose
The present situation of COVID-19 pandemic has put the health-care systems under tremendous stress and stringent tests for their ability to offer expected quality of health-care services, as it decides the sustainability and growth of health-care service providers. This study aims to deliver a quantitative framework for service quality assessment in the health-care industry by classifying the health-care service quality parameters into four balanced scorecard (BSC) perspectives.
Design/methodology/approach
To determine the service quality for the Indian health-care system, decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory and analytical network process are integrated in a fuzzy environment to contemplate the interaction among BSC perspectives and respective performance measures.
Findings
The results indicate “internal processes” perspective assumes the key role within BSC perspectives, while performance measures “nursing staff turnover” and “staff training” play the key roles. The results also signify that “patient satisfaction” is the most vital issue and can be strongly influenced by measures belonging to the “learning and growth” perspective. In “learning and growth” perspective, “staff training” is the most decisive criteria, very highly influencing “patient satisfaction”, highly influencing “profitability,” “change of cost per patient (both in and out patients)” and “outpatient waiting time” while moderately influencing “staff satisfaction,” “bed occupancy” and “nursing staff turnover”. Moreover, “staff training” criteria have a positive influence on “nursing staff turnover.”
Originality/value
The contributions of this study are in two folds in the domain of quantification of service quality for the health-care system. First, it delivers an assessment framework for Indian health-care service quality. Second, it demonstrates an application of the framework for a case situation and validates the proposed framework.

The study aims to facilitate the medical tourists visiting emerging countries for various kinds of ailments by ranking the possible destinations to avail medical treatments.
Design/methodology/approach
A Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchical Process (FAHP) with a mixed-method approach is applied to analyze data collected from patients and substantiate it with medical tour operators in India to gain managerial insights on the choice-making patterns of the patients.
Findings
India is a preferred emerging market location due to the low cost and high medical staff quality. India offers value for money, whereas Singapore and Thailand are preferred destinations for quality and technology.
Research limitations/implications
The study will facilitate the emerging markets' governments, hospitals and medical tourists to understand the importance of various determinants responsible for availing medical treatment outside their country.
Practical implications
The study recommends that cost and quality care are the patients' prime focus; government policies must provide clear guidelines on what the hospitals and country environment can offer and accordingly align the marketing strategies.
Originality/value
This study is the first attempt to rank various factors affecting medical tourism using the FAHP approach.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to survey the associations among innovation perspective on value priorities, i.e. hedonic vs utilitarian facets, satisfaction among customers and behavioral intents for online fashion apparels in the Asian economic context, i.e. Indian market.
Design/methodology/approach
The research used a hypo-deductive strategy and all the constructs were amended from the previous scholarly work. The two-step methodology with structural equation modelling in terms of covariance-based methodology was deployed to weigh the measurement and structural models.
Findings
The conclusions reveal that value priorities in terms of hedonic vs utilitarian dimensions have a substantial influence on satisfaction, and satisfaction significantly affects intentions for online apparels. Additionally, customer satisfaction performs the role of a partial facilitator between hedonic and utilitarian values and purchase intents. In comparison to hedonic, utilitarian priorities display a superior outcome on customer satisfaction and purchase intents for fashion apparels getting sold online portals.
Research limitations/implications
The research will facilitate online researchers and fashion managers recognize the underlying dimensions of innovation-led perspectives on values, i.e. hedonic vs utilitarian, for satisfaction and behavioral intents.
Practical implications
The study results will assist online marketers, fashion portals and specialists recognize the characteristics of hedonic vs utilitarian dimensions to improve satisfaction facets and behavioral intents for online fashion apparels.
Social implications
The present scholarly work presents useful insights related to social transformation with respect to innovative online fashion apparel buying paradigms.
Originality/value
In an Asian market context, the paper is pioneer work to examine the comparative relationships among value priorities, e.g. hedonic vs utilitarian dimensions and their influence on satisfaction and purchase intents for the fashion apparels sold online sector a two-dimensional measure of consumption values.

Some thermally stable epoxy coatings have been developed using functional aminosl.ilanes viz, N‐[3‐(trimethoxysilyl) propyl] ethylenediamine and copolymer of aminopropylmethyl dimethylsiloxane in different ratio. It has been observed that use of silicon compounds invariably enhances the thermal stabililty, chemical resistance and corrosion resistance of epoxy coating. It has also been observed that silane bearing triethoxy group gave better adherence properities whereas silicone gave better thermal stability. The degradation kinetics showed that the reactions were of first order.

The case documents the evolution of an eye care hospital promoted by a not-for profit organization located in Mandvi, Surat, close to the tribal community of Gujarat state, India. In a short span of five years (as of 2016), the trust has evolved as a community hospital. The value proposition of the trust is a portfolio of activities, which includes awareness by education, prevention of eye care diseases through eye screening camps, treatment, and rehabilitation on need basis and addressing direct and indirect healthcare needs of the community. The managerial challenge before the board of trustees is to carefully balance (a) The purpose for which the trust was created, (b) the gap between the ground realities and the need in the relevant tribal community (c) the accomplishments of the eye hospital so far.
