Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to increase the resilience capacity of residential health-care professionals to achieve intrapreneurial development in workers. Through training based on the development of emotional competencies and the application of mindfulness techniques, the aim is for the individual to become aware of his or her role, learn to manage emotions and reduce feelings of distress and anxiety.
Design/methodology/approach
The proposed programme has a duration of eight weeks. Every four days of training, mindfulness sessions are integrated, and at the beginning and end of the working day, 10 min are spent with superiors to give feedback on what happened during the day and the setting of new objectives. A control group is also established where they do not undergo such training. After the delivery of the programme, the results obtained after the application of the methodology to a sample of 91 residential health-care professionals are presented. By means of a validated resilience questionnaire composed of 25 items, the aim is to measure the resilience capacity of the participants before and after training and to observe the impact of the programme.
Findings
The results of this study show that the training has led to an improvement in the overall resilience capacity by 3.93% and has been able to reduce the existing gap between those over 45 years of age and younger people, although the age-related variable still represents a significant difference.
Originality/value
This study provides an innovative way of fostering entrepreneurship. While participants work on resilience management through mindfulness techniques, organisational commitment is achieved.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to investigate the online purchase intention of an older-aged group in Kosovo. Very few studies have analyzed the online purchase intention of these age groups in emerging countries including Kosovo, during the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to an increased usage of online shopping among older adults.
Design/methodology/approach
The study used a quantitative methodology and a structured questionnaire was used for collecting the data. Structural equation modeling (SEM) using partial least squares (PLS) was used to analyze 262 responses from an older-aged group of consumers from Kosovo.
Findings
The findings of this study showed that COVID-19 as a perceived risk affected online purchase intention. In addition, panic from perceived risk, perceived usefulness of social media and delivery in time also positively impacted the online purchase intention of this group of generations.
Originality/value
The study provides theoretical implications to consumer behavior literature during pandemics and how certain age groups behave during their purchase intention. The study also provides insight into other studies in emerging countries to see similarities and differences in online purchase behavior.

Abstract
Purpose
Organizational sustainability in the changing market requires adequate management of resources and opportunities; thus, entrepreneurship and digitization have acquired special relevance as key elements in the training programs offered for employee’s development. In order to analyze whether employee motivations influence corporate entrepreneurial development and consider the influence of this type of training program on intrapreneurial activity, a survey of 241 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Community of Madrid was carried out.
Design/methodology/approach
The analysis was conducted using the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) methodology.
Findings
This analysis provides a new perspective for the research of the training programs proposed and puts forward recommendations to achieve an approach that favors entrepreneurial development. The paper concludes by discussing the implications for managers and business leaders and showing actions to integrate digitalization with transversal value for continuous and sustainable development.
Originality/value
The value of this article lies in demonstrating that training in entrepreneurial skills or digital tools is not a necessary variable for the presence of entrepreneurship in the organization; however, an absence of training in these areas does imply that intrapreneurial characteristics do not develop.

Purpose
The importance of crowdfunding has grown considerably in recent years. Its potential as a source of financing has captured the attention of academia. In view of the challenge of creating a cleaner energy system and the considerable investments required to reach this goal, the literature has pointed to crowdlending as a viable alternative due to its social qualities. However, the literature on this regard is still scarce. This paper aims to contribute to this gap by examining some of the critical factors that determine the performance of financing renewable energy projects through crowdlending.
Design/methodology/approach
The data collected from the ECrowd! platform is studied through fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) as research method.
Findings
The results emphasize the importance of the founders’ presence in social networks and the amount of information provided in the description. They also suggest that investors do not react negatively to projects of larger amounts and terms and that giving rewards does not have a significant impact on the campaigns results.
Originality/value
The literature linking crowdfunding and sustainability is still scarce, which is why this paper contributes to filling this gap by identifying some of the factors that have a significant impact on the performance of campaigns. Critical conditions used are grouped into three categories: loan characteristics, project description and social capital. Conclusions help promoters and platforms to know what actions they should take in order to enhance their campaigns performance.

La importancia del crowdfunding ha crecido considerablemente en los últimos años. Su potential como fuente de financiación ha captado la atención del mundo académico. Ante el desafío de crear un sistema energético más limpio y las considerables inversiones necesarias para alcanzar este objetivo, la literatura ha apuntado al crowdlending como una alternativa viable por sus cualidades sociales. Sin embargo, la literatura al respecto aún es escasa. Este documento tiene como objetivo contribuir a esta brecha examinando algunos de los factores críticos que determinan el desempeño de la financiación de proyectos de energía renovable a través del crowdlending.
Diseño/metodología/enfoque
Los datos recopilados de la plataforma ECrowd! se estudian utilizando el análisis comparativo cualitativo de conjuntos difusos (fsQCA) como método de investigación.
Resultados
Las condiciones críticas utilizadas se agrupan en tres categorías: características del préstamo, descripción del proyecto y redes sociales. Los resultados recalcan la importancia de la presencia de los fundadores en las redes sociales y de la cantidad de información proporcionada en la descripción. También sugieren que los inversores no reaccionan negativamente ante proyectos de mayores importes y plazos y que dar recompensas no tiene un impacto significativo en los resultados de las campañas.
Originalidad/valor
La literatura que vincula el crowdfunding y la sostenibilidad es aún escasa, por lo que este trabajo contribuye a llenar este vacío al identificar algunos de los factores que tienen un impacto significativo en el desempeño de las campañas. Las condiciones críticas utilizadas se agrupan en tres categorías: características del préstamo, descripción del proyecto y capital social. Las conclusiones ayudan a los promotores y plataformas a saber qué acciones deben realizar para mejorar el desempeño de sus campañas.

Abstract
Purpose
Business growth is one of the most studied areas over the years. However, with the current uncertainty and entrepreneurial dynamism it becomes relevant to consider new variables such as entrepreneurial skills and competencies that influence its development. Accordingly, this research refers to the impact that the individual's skills have on the entrepreneurial environment. For this purpose, a survey has been developed of employees of different organizations considering the variables of high degree of proactivity in the employees' attitude, entrepreneurial training, innovation, previous experience or risk aversion.
Design/methodology/approach
The research has been conducted through fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) and the result shows the differences between the combination of variables for business growth through the consideration of sales growth and profit.
Findings
The results of this research provide new insights that allow the development and boosting of business growth.
Originality/value
The main contribution of this work is to pay attention to the human team of startups and show the role that this has in their growth.

Purpose
Building a cycling route is an interesting example of sustainable, environmentally friendly leisure and tourism project and this also fosters innovation in eco-friendly transport options. Financial resources must be found to achieve these ambitious goals and crowdfunding could be the answer. The study analyses the factors that influence potential backers' decisions to contribute to the fundraising campaign.
Design/methodology/approach
A Fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (FsQCA) was applied to elaborate a map of factors that could influence the process of the crowd's contribution to a crowdfunding round for supporting the enhancement of a cycling route. The factors taken into account were the motivations to contribute, the crowdfunder's features and the dynamics of the fundraising campaign.
Findings
The results demonstrate the strategic role played by rewards in the design of a crowdfunding round for a sustainable tourism and leisure project. The results also add more insights by considering backers' attitudes to rewards.
Research limitations/implications
Understanding the factors that can influence the decision to pledge in the tourism and leisure context has extremely valuable implications for tourism businesses developing the business idea and associated capital raising strategies. The study also has practical implications for all institutions trying to foster innovation in eco-friendly transport, particularly in promoting more cycling and improving the image of cycling in the culture.
Originality/value
The study is a step forward in understanding the factors that lead backers to support a sustainable project in the tourism and leisure context and the related dynamics of the crowdfunding round.

Purpose
This study explores the impact of intellectual capital on the adoption of supply chain analysis by manufacturing companies. The authors also examine the potential role of supply chain analytics in supply chain innovation and agility.
Design/methodology/approach
Data were gathered from 268 managers and directors of Jordanian companies. The hypotheses were tested using the Smart PLS software.
Findings
The results reveal that human, structural and social capital significantly impact supply chain analytics. Moreover, the findings show that supply chain analytics significantly affect supply chain innovation and agility. In other words, cultivating intellectual capital is crucial for utilizing supply chain analysis to enhance performance in terms of innovation and agility.
Originality/value
This study adds to the literature on the determinants of the adoption of supply chain analytics and its function in establishing the dynamic capabilities of businesses, including supply chain innovation and agility.

Purpose
Given that women around the world face more exclusion in terms of limited access to economic and innovation activities than men do, it is understandable that some female-led start-ups in weak institutional environments engage in bribery to help reduce the difficulties they encounter in the face of intense business competition. However, the link between bribery and product innovation performance is unclear. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between bribery and product innovation performance for female-led start-ups, as well as the roles of institutional support and self-control in this link.
Design/methodology/approach
This empirical study evaluates survey data from female-led manufacturing start-ups in China's Yangtze River Delta region to investigate the relationship between bribery and product innovation performance.
Findings
This research shows that bribery has an inverted U-shaped impact on product innovation performance in female-led manufacturing start-ups, meaning that the product innovation performance of these firms initially increases but then decreases as the bribery intensity (i.e. the frequency and amount of bribes) increases. The authors also focus on the roles of institutional support and self-control in this link, where the authors find that this relationship is steeper for firms with strong institutional support, as well as for individual female entrepreneurs who have high levels of self-control.
Practical implications
The findings of this study indicate that policymakers should undertake efforts to improve institutional quality (e.g. increasing clarity around decisions, providing more institutional support, etc.) and to guide female entrepreneurs to cultivate higher levels of self-control, as such efforts would reduce the appeal of, and the opportunity for, bribery.
Originality/value
To date, very few studies focus specifically on female-led enterprises in the field of bribery research. The research findings presented here on the effect of bribery in female-led start-ups on firm product innovation performance are useful to researchers, policymakers and businesspeople, as they provide a better understanding of bribery in female-led start-ups in China, which can also be extrapolated to encompass other transition economy contexts.

Abstract
Purpose
The present study aims to examine the relationships between digital business transformation, organizational learning, frugal innovation and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) resilience in emerging markets.
Design/methodology/approach
Empirical data collection has been implemented using a questionnaire method from 214 owners and managers of SMEs. The partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) approach was used to examine the measurement model and test hypotheses.
Findings
The results show that digital business transformation significantly impacts frugal innovation and SMEs' resilience in emerging markets. They also confirm the significant impact of frugal innovation on SMEs' resilience. Furthermore, the results revealed that organizational learning significantly impacts digital business transformation, frugal innovation and SMEs' resilience.
Originality/value
This study provides novel insights into the existing theories and literature regarding the determinants of SMEs' resilience in emerging markets. It also provides practical contributions, confirming the SMEs' need to develop their dynamic capabilities, including digital transformation, frugal innovation and organizational learning to maintain their resilience.

Abstract
Purpose
This study contributes to the limited literature on crowdlending by providing a data-driven analysis of the sector. A synthetic DP2 indicator is proposed to identify the leaders of the crowdlending market, the key factors behind their success and the medium-term competitive implications.
Design/methodology/approach
The study examines 17 crowdlending platforms and eight performance indicators. The information provided by these indicators is aggregated using a synthetic indicator based on the P2 Distance (DP2) method.
Findings
Mintos, Evoestate, Peerberry, Bondster and Fellow Finance are the leading platforms. This method reveals the key variables in the identification of market leaders, namely year-on-year variation in the number of investors and year-on-year variation in lending per investor. The leaders in terms of lending volumes should not take their current situation for granted. Small and medium-sized platforms are pushing hard and may overtake the incumbents as market leaders.
Practical implications
Financial intermediation through crowdlending is becoming an increasingly popular alternative to traditional models. Changes in the sector are expected in the coming years due to the rise of platforms with a moderate amount of lending and solid year-on-year improvement. To become leaders and to attract both lenders and borrowers, platforms are encouraged to improve the information that they provide.
Originality/value
This paper offers the first analysis of market leadership in the crowdlending sector. It analyses the competitive market of the crowdlending sector based on its actors and key factors. These factors explain the differences in the market position of different platforms. Based on this analysis, the trends in this sector can be identified. This study is exploratory, so it offers empirical data that can be useful in the development of theories that apply to the sector.
