Abstract
Purpose
This study evaluates the integrative role of justice theory, religiosity, satisfaction and trust in influencing customer loyalty to Islamic mobile banking.
Design/methodology/approach
This study surveyed 370 customers who used Islamic mobile banking. The authors employed SEM-PLS to estimate the proposed model and answer the hypotheses.
Findings
Empirical facts show that distributive justice, procedural justice and interactional justice can increase loyalty through the role of satisfaction. On the other hand, distributive justice, procedural justice and religiosity can predict loyalty through the role of trust.
Practical implications
This study encourages Islamic mobile banking providers to improve the quality of benefit distribution, the application of procedures and interaction among all levels of users. In addition, religious education innovation is also important to increase customer activity in using Islamic mobile banking.
Originality/value
Until now, none of the studies have estimated the loyalty of Islamic mobile banking users based on the integrative roles of justice theory, religiosity, satisfaction and trust. It, therefore, highlights the originality of this study.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to present a research model to investigate the potential impact of human capital, structural capital and social capital on e-banking proactiveness. In addition, it reveals the potential impact of e-banking proactiveness on competitive intelligence and competitive agility. Also, it aims to explore the impact of competitive intelligence on competitive advantage and competitive agility. Finally, the impact of competitive agility on competitive advantage will be examined.
Design/methodology/approach
In order to gather data, a questionnaire was prepared and administered to 211 respondents in Jordan. The research model and hypotheses were then assessed using Structural Equation Modeling – Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS).
Findings
The study demonstrated a significant impact of human capital, structural capital and social capital on e-banking proactiveness. The findings confirm that e-banking proactiveness significantly impacts competitive intelligence and achieving competition. Moreover, the findings confirm that competitive intelligence significantly impacts competitive agility. Also, the findings revealed a substantial relationship between competitive intelligence and competitive advantage. Finally, the results discovered that competitive agility significantly impacts competitive advantage.
Originality/value
The research gives valuable insights into the elements that drive e-banking proactiveness, which can beautify the proactiveness literature is well-known. By uncovering the position of intellectual capital in fostering proactiveness, this examination contributes to deeper information on the way financial institutions can successfully respond to market modifications, patron needs and technological advancements. Future scholars can build upon these findings to discover proactiveness in different sectors and industries, thereby broadening the understanding of proactive behaviors throughout numerous contexts.

Abstract
Purpose
This study investigates determinant factors (influence of the third party (ITP), credit policy (CP) and follow-up process (FP)) of micro, small and medium enterprises' (MSMEs) accounting processes (APs) and strategic debtors' management.
Design/methodology/approach
The study employed a sequential mixed-method approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods for comprehensive data analysis. Phase I involved purposively selecting and interviewing 10 MSME owners or accountants to gain insights into debtors' management. In Phase II, a quantitative approach was used for collecting survey data from 72 MSME owners or accountants. Structural equation modeling-partial least squares (SEM-PLS) are the statistical tools that validated the study's proposed hypotheses.
Findings
The findings indicate that determinant factors (ITP, CP and FP) positively affect MSMEs' AP, significantly influencing strategic debtors' management. As a result, sole proprietors can use this study's findings to create value through systematic management of their debtors, guaranteeing sustainable firm growth and profitability.
Practical implications
The sample has restricted to MSMEs in Oman, where the findings may not be generalized to other companies. Overall, the findings suggest that it requires considering the proposed determinant factor of MSMEs' AP to manage their debtors or accounts receivable (AR) to be more profitable.
Originality/value
MSMEs play an essential role in the growth of any country's economy. However, the dearth of comprehensive research on influential factors of MSMEs' debtors’ management studies justifies the significance of the current study.

Abstract
Purpose
This study responds to the need for further research to examine determinants that impact innovation creation in higher education institutions.
Design/methodology/approach
The study is a quantitative analysis; it uses 133 responses derived from respondents from several universities in Indonesia. The data are analyzed by using SEM-PLS. In the analysis, after having the inner model, then, the outer model is calculated. The research establishes a 95% confidence interval and conducts 500 bootstraps.
Findings
The results of this study indicate, firstly, the business and university partnerships, entrepreneurship orientation, and information technology facilities significantly influence innovation creation; secondly, measuring the impact in universities will strengthen the business and university partnerships, entrepreneurship orientation, and information technology facilities on the innovation creation.
Research limitations/implications
This research implies that universities need to measure the impact and develop a proper measurement to enhance innovation through their relationship with their industrial partnerships and information technology facilities. However, the research has a limitation; the study is only conducted in state universities.
Practical implications
The research measures the impact of the university–business partnership, entrepreneurship orientation, and IT facility. These determinants' effectiveness needs a measurement scheme to improve the innovation creation outputs, quantity, and quality.
Originality/value
Universities have an essential role in developing entrepreneurship competence for students and staff by nurturing innovation creation. It will benefit the staff in managing tasks and the students after they graduate to create businesses. This study aims to provide an in-depth analysis of determinants that affect innovation creation in higher education institutions in Indonesia.

Abstract
Purpose
The outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and its preventative social distancing measures have led to a dramatic increase in subscriptions to paid streaming services. Online users are increasingly accessing live broadcasts, as well as recorded video content and digital music services through internet and mobile devices. In this context, this study aims to explore the individuals’ uses and gratifications from online streaming technologies during COVID-19.
Design/methodology/approach
This research has adapted key measures from the “technology acceptance model” (TAM) and from the “uses and gratifications theory” (UGT) to better understand the individuals’ intentions to use online streaming technologies. A structural equations partial least squares’ confirmatory composite approach was used to analyze the gathered data.
Findings
The individuals’ perceived usefulness and ease of use of online streaming services were significant antecedents of their intentions to use the mentioned technologies. Moreover, this study suggests that the research participants sought emotional gratifications from online streaming technologies, as they allowed them to distract themselves into a better mood and to relax in their leisure time. Evidently, they were using them to satisfy their needs for information and entertainment.
Research limitations/implications
This study contributes to the academic literature by generating new knowledge about the individuals’ perceptions, motivations and intentions to use online streaming technologies to watch recorded movies, series and live broadcasts.
Practical implications
The findings imply that there is scope for the providers of online streaming services to improve their customer-centric marketing by refining the quality and content of their recorded programs and through regular interactions with subscribers and personalized recommender systems.
Originality/value
This study integrates the TAM and UGT frameworks to better understand the effects of the users’ perceptions, ritualized and instrumental motivations on their intentions to continue watching movies, series and broadcasts through online streaming technologies, during COVID-19.

El distanciamiento social durante la pandemia del coronavirus (COVID-19) ha llevado a un aumento dramático en las suscripciones a los servicios de transmisión de pago. Los usuarios en línea acceden cada vez más a transmisiones en vivo, así como a contenido de video grabado y servicios de música digital. En este contexto, este estudio explora los usos y las gratificaciones buscadas por las personas con las tecnologías de transmisión en línea durante la COVID-19.
Diseño/Metodología/Enfoque
En la operacionalización de las variables se utilizaron las medidas del “Modelo de Aceptación de Tecnología” (TAM) y la “Teoría de Usos y Gratificaciones” (UGT). Además, se utilizó SEM-PLS 3 para analizar los datos recopilados de las encuestas.
Hallazgos
La utilidad percibida y la facilidad de uso de los servicios de transmisión en línea son antecedentes significativos de la intención de utilizarlos. Además, las personas buscan gratificaciones emocionales de tales tecnologías, ya que les permiten distraerse, estar de mejor humor y relajarse en su tiempo libre. Además, las utilizan para obtener información y entretenimiento.
Implicaciones teóricas
Este estudio contribuye a la literatura académica generando nuevos conocimientos sobre las percepciones, motivaciones e intenciones de los individuos de utilizar tecnologías de transmisión en línea para ver películas grabadas, series y transmisiones en vivo.
Implicaciones prácticas
Los hallazgos implican que hay margen para que los proveedores de servicios de transmisión en línea mejoren su marketing centrado en el cliente reforzando la calidad y el contenido de sus programas grabados y la publicidad intermitente.
Originalidad/Valor
Este estudio integra las teorías TAM y UGT para comprender mejor el creciente uso de las tecnologías de transmisión para ver películas grabadas, series y transmisiones en vivo.

新型冠状病毒(COVID-19)大流行的爆发及其预防性的社会隔离措施,导致付费流媒体服务订阅量大幅增加。越来越多的在线用户通过互联网和移动设备访问直播、录制视频内容和数字音乐服务。在此背景下,本研究旨在探讨COVID-19疫情期间个人对在线流媒体技术的使用和满意度。
研究设计/研究方法
为了更好地理解个体使用在线流媒体技术的意图,本研究采用了“技术接受模型”(TAM)和“使用与满足理论”(UGT)的主要测量方法。另外,作者采用了结构方程偏最小二乘验证组合方法对采集的数据进行分析。
研究结果
个人对在线流媒体服务的感知有用性和易用性是他们使用上述技术的意图的重要先行因素。此外,这项研究表明,研究中的参与者从在线流媒体技术中寻求情感满足,让自己得到一个好心情,并在闲暇时间放松。显然,他们是在用手机来满足他们对信息和娱乐的需求。

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to investigate the impact of total quality management (TQM) practices on the work-related attitudes of International Non-Governmental Organisations (INGOs) staff, including job involvement, job satisfaction, career satisfaction and organisational commitment.
Design/methodology/approach
The paper developed and tested 16 hypotheses on the relationship between TQM practices and work-related attitudes. Out of 295 targeted staff working for 59 INGOs operating in Jordan, 126 staff have responded to the research questionnaire. The collected dataset has been analysed using the structural equation modelling-partial least square (SEM-PLS) technique.
Findings
Analysis of the data revealed the significant positive effect of TQM practices. Beneficiary focus, empowerment-teamwork and continuous improvement impact 35% of job involvement. Meanwhile, beneficiary focus and empowerment-teamwork affect 34 and 47% of career satisfaction and organisational commitment, respectively. Significantly, empowerment-teamwork and continuous improvement determine 62% of job satisfaction. However, the low extent of training and education is challenging to enhance employees' positive emotions.
Practical implications
This research provides further evidence on the importance of TQM practices to the leaders of INGOs. Therefore, to orient their resources towards TQM implementation to enhance work-related attitudes, and in turn, the performance of interventions in this challenging sector.
Originality/value
This research extends the knowledge regarding certain TQM practices that naturally and variably empower job and career satisfaction, job involvement, and organisational commitment within the INGOs. Therefore, to confirm the validity of this research direction in a new uncovered sector, which has its own specificities.

Abstract
Purpose
This study investigates consumers' willingness to adopt genetically modified foods (GM) and the role of innovation and behavioral determinants.
Design/methodology/approach
A new integrated model that expands the Health Belief Model (HBM) into the Innovation Diffusion Theory (IDT) was developed and examined. A total of 241 consumers were selected from the capital of Iran, Tehran, through a multistage random sampling. The data were analyzed using SEM-PLS modeling.
Findings
The extended HBM model was able to predict about 84% of the variance changes in consumers' willingness to adopt GM foods. The effects of net benefit and perceived compatibility on the willingness were also significant. In addition, the mediating effect of compatibility on the relationship between net benefit/self-efficacy and willingness to adopt GM foods was also significant.
Originality/value
This study contributes to the literature by developing the HBM into the IDT to assess consumers' willingness to adopt GM foods.

Abstract
Purpose
Outsourcing by corporations is increasing the demand for complex services (such as customization) from third-party logistics providers (3PLs). Effective integration between 3PLs and their customers, known as the external integration of 3PLs, not only allows 3PLs to respond rapidly to shippers’ needs but also to increase customer satisfaction and the effective allocation of resources while increasing operational efficiency (such as by proposing comprehensive plans for future logistics services to meet shippers’ demands). The purpose of this paper is to investigate the causal relationships among the external integration capabilities, cost advantages, and the financial performance of 3PLs.
Design/methodology/approach
A survey of 3PLs in Taiwan and China was performed. The research model was tested using a structural equation modeling technique along with the partial least square (PLS-SEM/PLS) approach.
Findings
The results herein demonstrated a positive relationship between 3PLs’ external integration capabilities and resource efficiency. The results also suggested that cost competitiveness positively affected the financial performance of 3PLs. Although the external integration capabilities of 3PLs were not found to directly affect their financial performance, the results in this study indicated that external integration capabilities enable a firm to improve financial performance by capturing cost advantages.
Originality/value
This study provides useful information about the effects of external integration capabilities on the financial performance of 3PLs in a bi-regional context. The sample in this study was drawn from the 3PL industry in Taiwan and China, enabling a comparative analysis of these two countries of similar cultural backgrounds but different degrees of development of their logistics industry and different related demands.

Abstract
Purpose
This study investigates the impact of traditional marketing analytics and big data analytics on the success of a new product. Moreover, it assesses the mediating effects of the quality of big data system.
Design/methodology/approach
This study is based on primary data that were collected through an online questionnaire survey from large manufacturing firms operating in UAE. Out of total distributed 421 samples, 327 samples were used for final data analysis. The survey was conducted from March–April 2020, and data analysis was done via Structural Equation Modelling (SEM-PLS).
Findings
It emerges that big data analysis (BDA), traditional marketing analysis (TMA) and big data system quality (BDSQ) are significant determinants of new product development (NPD) success. Meanwhile, the BDA and TMA significantly affect the BDSQ. Results of the mediating role of BDSQ in the relationship between the BDA and NPD, as well as TMA and NPD, are significant.
Practical implications
There are significant policy implications for practitioners and researchers concerning the role of analytics, particularly big data analytics and big data system quality, when attempting to achieve success in developing new products.
Originality/value
This is an original study based on primary data from UAE.

Abstract
Purpose
Guided by the theory of planned behavior and the technology acceptance model, the purpose of this study was to comprehensively examine the factors that affect consumers' intentions to continue to use food delivery apps by developing and testing a research model and examining the differences between consumers with different demographic characteristics or behavior changes during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
Design/methodology/approach
An online survey instrument was developed, and 316 valid responses were collected. A measurement model was developed and tested by using the structural equation modeling partial least squares (SEM-PLS) method.
Findings
The four basic constructs in the theory of planned behavior model (attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control and trust) positively predicted consumers' intentions to continue to use food delivery apps. Predictors (including perceived innovativeness, hedonic and utilitarian motivations, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and food safety risk perception) of these four basic constructs were also identified and confirmed. Multigroup analyses were conducted, and differences were found between male and female consumers and those with different ordering frequencies during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Originality/value
This study expanded the application of the theory of planned behavior by examining consumers' intentions to continue using food delivery apps and improved the authors’ understanding of this theory. Further, the successful application of the technology acceptance model improved the authors’ understanding of consumers' attitudes and behavioral intentions related to food delivery app usage.
