Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the journals of the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) (Web of Science platform) in respect to publication misconduct and predatory practices.
Design/methodology/approach
The paper employs formal criteria developed by the Disseropedia of Russian Journals (a.k.a. the Journal Project of the Russian Dissernet).
Findings
A substantial number of the RSCI journals violate publishing ethics and/or are involved in predatory practices (fake peer-review, plagiarism and self-plagiarism, publication of pseudoscientific papers and so on). The general trend is negative: the number of such journals was higher in July 2018 than in 2015 when the RSCI was launched. The authors propose that this situation is due to the non-transparent and partly defective process of journal selection involved; primarily it can be attributed to problems with the RSCI expert pool.
Research limitations/implications
Many cases of publication misconduct are inevitably overlooked due to natural limitations of the tools.
Originality/value
The approach and methods were developed by the Disseropedia of Russian Journals and the Dissernet for the specific local Russian situation, where the scientific and editorial community is corrupt and the institution of reputation does not work properly. The authors believe that the experience may also be helpful for scientists and academic officials from other countries.

This study aims to assess the validity of citation metrics based on the disciplinary representative survey.
Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to assess the validity of citation metrics based on the disciplinary representative survey.
Design/methodology/approach
The present project compared citation rankings for individual scientists with expert judgments collected through a survey of 818 Russian sociologists. The Russian Index of Science Citation was used to construct the general population of 3,689 Russian sociologists, to whom the survey was sent by email. The regression analyses of bibliometric indicators and peer review scores for 723 names of scholars mentioned in the survey have been undertaken.
Findings
Findings suggest that scientometric indicators predict with significant accuracy the names of the most influential sociologists and those scholars who are not mentioned while they are less relevant for prediction names which received moderate attention in the survey.
Originality/value
This study contributes to the research on the validity of citation metrics by focusing on scientometric indicators, not limited to traditional metrics but including non-standard publication metrics and indicators of potential metric abuse. Besides, the study presents the national bibliometric data source that is especially important for non-Western higher education systems, less presented in the Web of Science or Scopus.

Abstract
Purpose
Based on the significance of ectomycorrhizae (ECM) and increased publication activity on this subject, it was decided to carry out a bibliometric analysis of scientific outputs in this area. The purpose of this study is to reveal the research trends of scientific outputs on ECM for the past 30 years and provide a potential guide for future research.
Design/methodology/approach
A method of bibliometric analysis was performed, based on the online version of the Science Citation Index Expanded, Web of Science, from 1986 to 2017. The authors evaluated the publication types, languages, source countries, journals, the patterns of publication outputs, most-cited articles, most-productive authors, institutional distributions, subject categories, high-frequency keywords and keywords plus and high-frequency terms in the title and abstract of ectomycorrhizal research. Keywords, keywords plus and high-frequency terms in the title and abstract were analyzed via VOSviewer to illustrate the extent of co-occurrence. This study further describes the recent research priority or hotspots and reveals the research trends.
Findings
From 1986 to 2017, the publication output on ECM showed a rising trend; the number of articles has rapidly increased after 2003. Based on co-occurrence analysis for keywords, keywords plus and terms in the title and abstract, “ectomycorrhizal fungi” is the most popular keyword and keywords plus; “concentration” is the most high-frequency terms in the title and abstracts. Plant biology, mycology and ecology are the hotspots in the ectomycorrhizal research. Ectomycorrhizal taxonomy, the molecular mechanisms of ectomycorrhizal symbioses and the common mycorrhizal networks are the future direction.
Originality/value
A bibliometric analysis has been carried out to analyze the trends of ECM research with 30 years. This study provides a potential guide for future research related to ectomycorrhizae.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to present a summary of the green consumer behaviour (GCB) research conducted during the 2001–2021 period using the bibliometric analysis and to carry out a thematic and content analysis on the three clusters which comprise 57 articles resulting from the co-citation analysis and identify the significant green purchasing factors.
Design/methodology/approach
The three-pronged methodology applied to this research analysis includes performance analysis of the literature using biblioshiny and R Studio; network mapping analysis using VOSviewer and Gephi; thematic analysis using word clouds generated with R Software and content analysis of each paper with the aid of within and between-study analyses.
Findings
Cluster one acted as a base for the theoretical foundations of GCB which aids in understanding the basic concepts of green marketing, its evolution and the methodologies, whereas cluster two determined the predictors of everyday green behaviour, which helps in gaining knowledge about the everyday sustainable activities the consumers indulge and the factors motivating to do so. Cluster three mainly focused on the psycho-socio demographic determinants of GCB, which assists in segmentation and predicting the purchase behaviour of the various consumer segments.
Originality/value
The significant variables and major gaps in each of the clusters were identified and authors have drawn the implications for future researchers and marketing managers.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to analyse the phenomenon of smart libraries, which began in the 2000s, alongside the development of computer technology, digital storage the internet and human–computer interactions. The smart library is a system of library and information services developed to support research and training activity. This paper describes the need to introduce innovative library and information services at universities through users’ personal accounts.
Design/methodology/approach
An analysis of more than 200 publications mainly written by foreign scientists was conducted, given the dearth of Russian literature on the smart library and its services. The analysis revealed that in Western countries, the term smart library represents a wide range of meanings – from the understanding that it is a typical type of networking to assumptions about the total services provided by libraries in an urban environment.
Findings
The paper presents a review of both classical library services and those that are focused on the needs of modern education and science.
Research limitations/implications
The research results may be the best limited to university libraries.
Practical implications

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to present recent trends in touchscreen research through scientometric analysis. Devices with touchscreen are powerful tools for performing specialized operations. The touch screens of tablets, smartphones, laptops and television play an important role in teaching, learning and research.
Design/methodology/approach
The data was collected from Web of Science database from 2011 to 2021 and analysed using MS-Excel and VOSviewer software. After analysing 389 research papers, the authors identified the high impact journals, collaboration of countries, institutions, authors and growth trend of publications. Analysing the most used keywords, country-wise distribution of publications and research collaboration between institutions will help interpret the research trends in the selected time span.
Findings
The publications show an increase in number over the years from 2011 to 2021. Among the countries, USA has the highest number of 127 articles published, followed by England (61) and Canada (30). The results showed that the multiple authorship pattern in touchscreen publication is high when compared to single authors. The institutional analysis indicated that the organizations publishing more than five documents in the area were mostly from United Kingdom, Australia, USA and Korea. Timeline visualizations identified prominent keywords like touchscreen, performance, operant platform, Alzheimer’s disease, etc. in the subject. Interdisciplinary research is dominant in the subject, as seen from the most preferred journals and keywords.
Research limitations/implications
The analysis does not include a comprehensive coverage of the research output, as only Web of Science database from 2011 to 2021 in a 10-year period is included.
Practical implications
The study would benefit stakeholders, including manufacturers and researchers alike, to know the future of touchscreen research.
Social implications
This study is pertinent to socio-psychological fields because touchscreen technology encourages social connection among older persons and may help foster early literacy skills.
Originality/value
This paper will provide an understanding of the global developments in touchscreen research with recommendations for future research.

Abstract
Purpose
Immigrants, asylum seekers and refugees living in Europe face a number of challenges in accessing or using health information and healthcare services available in their host countries. To resolve these issues and deliver the necessary services, providers must take a comprehensive approach to better understand the types of health information and healthcare services that these individuals need, seek and use. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to develop that comprehensive approach.
Design/methodology/approach
In this paper, a systematic literature review of peer-reviewed publications was performed, with 3.013 articles collected from various databases. A total of 57 qualifying papers on studies conducted in Europe were included in the review after applying the predefined inclusion and exclusion requirements, screening processes and eliminating duplicates. The information seeking and communication model (ISCM) was used in the analysis.
Findings
The findings revealed that while many health information and healthcare services are accessible in Europe for immigrants, asylum seekers and refugees, many of these individuals are unaware of their existence or how to access them. While our findings do not specify what health-related information these groups need, use or seek, they do suggest the importance and value of providing mental health, sexual health and HIV, as well as pregnancy and childbirth information and services. Furthermore, according to our results, health information services should be fact-based, easy to understand and raise awareness about healthcare structure and services available in Europe for this vulnerable population.
Practical implications
This study has a range of practical implications, including (1) highlighting the need for mental health and behavioural health services and (2) stressing the value of addressing cultural context and religious values while investigating (health) information seeking of people with foreign background.
Originality/value
This is one of the first studies to systematically review and examine the behaviour of immigrants, asylum seekers and refugees in relation to health information and healthcare services in the European context.

Abstract
Purpose
This research is devoted to studying the dynamics of the commodity structure of the world edible oils market in 2001–2021, with subsequent identification of the role and importance of export deliveries of Russian products in the formation of global mechanisms of supply and demand in the segment.
Design/Methodology/Approach
In the process of writing the chapter, the author used functional and mathematical analysis, statistical and computational-constructive methods, and customs statistics data from reputable international organisations and national statistical bodies. Comparing the obtained results with relevant scientific studies provides a high level of reliability of the results of this research.
Findings
Russia is currently the world's second-largest sunflower oil producer. In the near future, the country has significant potential to become the largest supplier of this product, which can significantly contribute to stabilising supply in the global edible oil market.
Originality/Value
Based on the analysis of the dynamics of change in the statistics, it is substantiated that as a result of the implementation of a balanced state policy, in two decades, Russia managed to overcome a large-scale crisis in agro-industrial production, significantly reduced its dependence on imports of oil and fat products and is currently one of the world's leading producers of sunflower oil, which allows it to play an important role in shaping supply on the world market of oil and fat products.
