Circuit Technology, now in its fourth year, is still an event concentrating exclusively on PCB technology, production equipment and processes. Nevertheless, the organisers believe that Circuit Technology '86 will derive great benefit from participation in the UK's largest electronics gathering, The British Electronics Week.

LeaRonal (UK) plc of Buxton, Derbyshire, specialists in plating and allied services to the printed circuit board industry, has appointed John Flynn to their technical staff. Mr Flynn, who will be based in his native Scotland, brings with him a decade of experience in electroless copper, hard gold plating and photoimageable processing in the PCB industry.

Since its advent in 1983, Circuit Technology has gone from strength to strength, as indicated by visitor attendance which increased from 3000 in 1983 to over 6000 in 1984. Predictions are that, with the larger venue at Olympia's National Hall, previous attendance figures will be exceeded many times at Circuit Technology '85.

Re‐established in the National Hall, Olympia, Circuit Technology '89 offers a showcase for the latest printed circuit board technology, production equipment and processes. Exhibitors will comprise PCB manufacturers; suppliers of equipment, materials or chemicals used in their manufacture or assembly; related subcontracting services; and surface mount technology.

Orbotech SA, Brussels, has announced the appointment of Kevin Smith as Sales Executive for its UK office. Mr Smith joints Orbotech with several years' experience in the disciplines of CAD systems and networks and photoplotting. He will be based in the company's Rochdale office and will work with Rob Sawyer, UK Regional Manager, in selling Orbotech's AOI, CAM and Plotter products throughout the United Kingdom.

The universal Tecfoil frame uses interchangeable Tecfoil stencils, removing the need for each stencil to be frame mounted. Tecfoils are quickly attached by placing them on location pins at each end of the frame. Bars are attached and slid into position clamping the Tecfoil. The required tension is applied by closing cam levers at each end of the frame.

Piezo Ceram Electronique, the French furnace and manufacturing equipment company have appointed Dage (GB) Ltd. as their UK agent. Particular emphasis will be placed on belt furnaces for thick film solder reflow and package sealing.
