Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to gain insight into learners’ behavioural intention to use the video lectures as their learning material. The behavioural intention construct is measured in terms of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness of video lectures. It is hoped that the findings of this study will provide feedback as to learners’ intention to use as well as guidelines on how to improve the development of video lectures as the university gears to offer more courses in the fully online mode in the near future.
Design/methodology/approach
A total sample of 392 questionnaires were collected for this study using technology acceptance model model. Descriptive and inferential statistics are used as the main analytical tool to study the learners’ behavioural intention to use the video lectures as their learning material. The behavioural intention construct is measured in terms of two dimensions: perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness of video lectures.
Findings
In conclusion, the findings from this research study seem to suggest that OUM learners have a positive perception of video lectures with reference to the two dimensions of “ease of use” and “usefulness”, where ease of use is concerned, OUM learners rate content relevancy, appropriate language and viewing flexibility as the strongest points of video lectures. The aspects ranked lowest are technical (ability to play the video lecture smoothly from the beginning to the end) as well as objective of usage (video lectures are not rated high as revision material for exam preparation).
Research limitations/implications
Future studies can be conducted pertaining to issues on the context in which learning is taking place within higher education, various definitions of video, and ways of categorising and presenting these different types, teaching “with” and “through” video from the perspective of the lecturer and the educational institution, approaches to didactically embedding and integrating video into a course that results in effective learning and the process and support needed by the (traditional) lecturer to create and deploy various types of video content.
Originality/value
Over the last ten years, the production of video has gone from a complicated and technical process to one easily done by the general masses. It is now possible for anyone with a mobile phone to make a video recording. The question lies on whether the students have deeper meaning of learning via video lectures and the perception of students on using video lecture as teaching tool in the open and distance learning.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to discuss the stages involved in the module development process at the Open University Malaysia (OUM), to make them “print ready,” and how this has evolved over the years with various quality assurance (QA) mechanisms in place.
Design/methodology/approach
The paper builds upon the 12 quality control checks in the various stages of module development from pre-development to actual development and finally to post-development process. This is in line with the QA continuous improvement process of PDCA or Plan, Do, Check and Act.
Findings
Change, through the fine-tuning of QA processes and open door communication, is the key toward achieving quality modules, and hence meeting learners’ expectations.
Research limitations/implications
This paper highlights the experiences of only the Centre for Instructional Design and Technology, OUM in the development of quality learning material for the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) learners.
Originality/value
This paper outlines the step-by-step process in module development, from print to print-ready material, to assist the ODL universities in their mission to provide quality learning material to learners.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to explore the mediating role of demonetisation in the usage of IT-enabled banking services (ITeBS). The study extends the theory of technology readiness (TR) (Parasuraman and Colby, 2015) by incorporating the behavioural intention and actual usage of ITeBS.
Design/methodology/approach
Based on the theory of TR and encompassing the impact of demonetisation, the study examines the functional relationship of TR, behavioural intention and actual usage. Structural equation modelling and mediation analysis are applied on a data set of 474 usable responses.
Findings
The study confirms that TR is a significant factor in customer’s intention to use ITeBS. The demonetisation variable fully mediates the relationship model, which implies a significant finding in the consumer acceptance literature.
Practical implications
The result of this study proposes three major implications. Primarily, the banks should focus on providing simple and user-friendly ITeBS interface and its uninterrupted access. It is necessary to educate the customers by giving them a trial of the service. Furthermore, social media platforms may be utilised as an effective and efficient tool to resolve customer complaints.
Originality/value
This study is first of the attempts to investigate government’s digital push in the technology adoption literature. The results indicate significant influence of demonetisation on the usage of ITeBS.

This chapter explores Generation Z's perceptions of learning. Learning can be viewed from three distinct lenses: effectiveness, enjoyment, and engagement of various modalities. Modalities include demonstrated (watch in person), video-based (watch online), intrapersonal (independent), interpersonal (in collaboration with others), social (among others but not working together), and experiential (doing). Effectiveness involves the extent that a certain modality is effective for learning. Enjoyment is reflective of preference and satisfaction with different modalities. Finally, engagement is the actual utilization of specific modalities.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of present study is to identify influential aspects of published literature, research streams and future research questions to set forth future research agenda based on comprehensive literature review using bibliometric and content analysis.
Design/methodology/approach
The study analyzed 285 documents from the international Scopus database using bibliometric analysis and content analysis. VOSviewer software is used for bibliometric analysis.
Findings
The study identified influential aspects of published literature; identified five significant research streams: (1) Demonetization and financial system, (2) Demonetization and financial technology, (3) Demonetization and financial market, (4) Demonetization and digital payment system and (5) Demonetization and governance and proposed 27 key future research questions to develop future research agenda.
Practical implications
The present study makes significant contribution to the literature by providing a framework for future research. The framework provides opportunities to future researchers to explore the web of relations among five identified research streams as future research agenda.
Originality/value
The present work is unique in its way of contribution, as to the best of researchers' knowledge no work was witnessed in published literature to cover demonetization in a detailed and comprehensive manner. The present study fills this gap by conducting bibliometric analysis and content analysis. The study proposed conceptual framework for demonetization characterization to understand the demonetization literature well; and also proposed framework for future researcher to be explored further.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to study the variation of energy ratios of different reflected and transmitted waves by calculating the amplitude ratios.
Design/methodology/approach
This investigation studied the reflection and transmission of plane waves on an interface of nonlocal orthotropic piezothermoelastic space (NOPHS) and fluid half-space (FHS) in reference to dual-phase-lag theory under three different temperature models, namely, without-two-temperature, classical-two-temperature, and hyperbolic-two-temperature with memory-dependent derivatives (MDDs).
Findings
The primary (P) plane waves propagate through FHS and strike at the interface x3 = 0. The results are one wave reflected in FHS and four waves transmitted in NOPHS. It is noticed that these ratios are observed under the impact of nonlocal, dual-phase-lag (DPL), two-temperature and memory-dependent parameters and are displayed graphically. Some particular cases are also deduced, and the law of conservation of energy across the interface is justified.
Research limitations/implications
According to the available literature, there is no substantial research on the considered model incorporating NOPHS and FHS with hyperbolic two-temperature, DPL and memory.
Practical implications
The current model may be used in various fields, including earthquake engineering, nuclear reactors, high particle accelerators, aeronautics, soil dynamics and so on, where MDDs and conductive temperature play a significant role. Wave propagation in a fluid-piezothermoelastic media with different characteristics such as initial stress, magnetic field, porosity, temperature, etc., provides crucial information about the presence of new and modified waves, which is helpful in a variety of technical and geophysical situations. Experimental seismologists, new material designers and researchers may find this model valuable in revising earthquake estimates.
Social implications
The researchers may classify the material using the two-temperature parameter and the time-delay operator, where the parameter is a new indication of its capacity to transmit heat in interaction with various materials.
Originality/value

This paper aims to study the energy ratios of plane waves on an interface of nonlocal thermoelastic halfspace (NTS) and nonlocal orthotropic piezothermoelastic half-space (NOPS).
Design/methodology/approach
The memory-dependent derivatives (MDDs) approach with a hyperbolic two-temperature (HTT), three-phase lag theory is used here to study how the energy ratios change at the interface with the angle of incidence.
Findings
Plane waves that travel through NTS and hit the interface as a longitudinal wave, a thermal wave, or a transversal wave send four waves into the NOPS medium and three waves back into the NTS medium. The amplitude ratios of the different waves that are reflected and transmitted are used to calculate the energy ratios of the waves. It is observed that these ratios are affected by the HTT, nonlocal and MDD parameters.
Research limitations/implications
The energy ratios correspond to four distinct models; nonlocal HTT with memory, nonlocal HTT without memory, local HTT with memory and nonlocal classical-two-temperature with memory concerning the angle of incidence from 0 degree to 90 degree.
Practical implications
This model applies to several fields, including earthquake engineering, soil dynamics, high-energy particle physics, nuclear fusion, aeronautics and other fields where nonlocality, MDD and conductive temperature play an important role.
Originality/value
The authors produced the submitted document entirely on their initiative, with equal contributions from all of them.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to study the energy ratios of plane waves on an imperfect interface of elastic half-space (EHS) and orthotropic piezothermoelastic half-space (OPHS).
Design/methodology/approach
The dual-phase lag (DPL) theory with memory-dependent derivatives is employed to study the variation of energy ratios at the imperfect interface.
Findings
A plane longitudinal wave (P) or transversal wave (SV) propagates through EHS and strikes at the interface. As a result, two waves are reflected, and four waves are transmitted, as shown in Figure 2. The amplitude ratios are determined by imperfect boundaries having normal stiffness and transverse stiffness. The variation of energy ratios is computed numerically for a particular model of graphite (EHS)/cadmium selenide (OPHS) and depicted graphically against the angle of incidence to consider the effect of stiffness parameters, memory and kernel functions.
Research limitations/implications
The energy distribution of incident P or SV waves among various reflected and transmitted waves, as well as the interaction of waves for imperfect interface (IIF), normal stiffness interface (NSIF), transverse stiffness interface (TSIF), and welded contact interface (WCIF), are important factors to consider when studying seismic wave behavior.
Practical implications
The present model may be used in various disciplines, such as high-energy particle physics, earthquake engineering, nuclear fusion, aeronautics, soil dynamics and other areas where memory-dependent derivative and phase delays are significant.
Originality/value
In a variety of technical and geophysical scenarios, wave propagation in an elastic/piezothermoelastic medium with varying magnetic fields, initial stress, temperature, porosity, etc., gives important information regarding the presence of new and modified waves.

Design/methodology/approach
The hybrid technique is the combination of tunicate swarm algorithm (TSA) and radial basis function neural network.
Findings
TSA gets input parameters from the rectifier outputs such as rectifier direct current (DC) voltage, DC current and time. From the input parameters, it enhances the reduced fault power of rectifier and generates training data set based on the MPPT conditions. The training data set is used in radial basis function. During the execution time, it produces the rectifier reference DC side voltage that is converted to control pulses of inverter switches.
Originality/value
Finally, the proposed method is executed in MATLAB/Simulink site, and the performance is compared with different existing methods like particle swarm optimization algorithm and hill climb searching technique. Then the output illustrates the performance of the proposed method and confirms its capability to solve issues.

Being a 75-year-old scientific organization, CSIR has raised each and every laboratory with a specific mandate and competency. It is definite that the organization would get some assistance from these points, which are briefly stated, as the institutional data reside with the laboratory only. To some extent, they can be considered on their discretion; however, the organization has raised its position to international standards, but still it can consider few areas/suggestions from this analysis. These points are suggestive and flexible in nature, which are identified and defined to elevate this organization on the globe. Scientific publications do make a difference, but on the ground, if the technologies are not viable and received by public, it makes no difference. Today, India is fortunate to have a Prime Minister like Mr Modi, who always re-evaluates the issues and solutions so that the country moves from developing to a fast-pace developed nation. It is a fact that if these research organizations reorganize themselves and prioritize the research problems, they are capable enough to become a pioneer among the world R&D industry. This paper aims to analyze the organization and suggest few points with significant findings which can assist in scaling toward excellence on a global scale.

On the basis of random sampling, laboratories were identified where their achievements and contribution toward industry and society were evaluated. On the basis of their setup, the organization and laboratories were evaluated to frame-out a SWOT analysis.
Findings
SWOT analysis is a deliberate technique carried out to analyze the current situation of the system and to analyze the internal and external environment, which provides and edge to the organization to sustain. The major factors assessed were manpower, machines, money and funding, and achievements and deliverables were studied.
Originality/value
The research, i.e. SWOT, is unique in nature, as it was not carried out earlier on such a scale.
