Abstract

Long lasting protection at Hampden Park PVC‐acrylic based anti‐corrosive coating materials supplied by Inertol Co. Ltd., The Brow, Burgess Hill, West Sussex RH15 9NE, have been used to give long‐term protection to more than 10,000m2 of structural steelwork at Hampden Park, Glasgow, Scotland's National Football Stadium and home ground of the Queen's Park Football Club. Based on previous experience with these products—called Icosit high build red lead primer and Icosit 5530 EG — Inertol state that it is anticipated that no further maintenance of the steelwork will be required before the end of this century.
