Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Although my name appears in the conference programme I dared to ask a few of our colleagues and associates to present what we are going to talk about. This is because first of all, we are an international corporation, and secondly, because the project we want to present to you was carried out thanks to international co‐operation.

Digital Equipment Corporation formally opened its operation in Poland two weeks ago after having been absent here in the country for the last 10 years. Still I believe I am able to say that we are very popular as a computer systems and networks manufacturer, not only in industry but in the academic and research community.
