Information security is a growing concern in society, across businesses and government. As the offshore IT services market continues to grow providing numerous benefits, there are also perceived risks with respect to the quality of information security delivered in the supply chain. This paper aims to examine, as a case, the perceptions of Indian software services provider (service provider) employees with respect to information security governance and its impact on information security service quality that is delivered to customers.

The paper provides a framework built upon the existing dimensions and instruments for total quality management and service quality, suitably modified to reflect the context of information security. SmartPLS, a structural equation modelling technique, has been used to analyse field survey data collected from across various Indian cities and companies.

Significant finding is that information security governance in an IT outsourcing company providing software services has a highly significant impact on the information security service quality, which can be predicted. The paper also establishes that there is a positive relationship collectively between elements of information security governance and information security service quality.

Since data used in this study were taken solely from the responses of employees of outsourced service companies in India, it does not show if this translates into service improvements as perceived by the customer.

Information security governance should be made an integral part of corporate governance and is an effective strategic technique, if software outsourcing business enterprises want to achieve a competitive edge, provide client satisfaction and create trust.

The paper presents empirical data validation of the connection between information security governance and quality of service.

While interactions in the real world shopping are mainly based on face‐to‐face activities between consumers and service personnels, interactions in electronic commerce take place mainly through the retailer’s Web site. This study investigated the relationship between various characteristics of online shopping and consumer purchase behavior. Results of the online survey with 602 Korean customers of online bookstores indicate that information quality, user interface quality, and security perceptions affect information satisfaction and relational benefit, that, in turn, are significantly related to each consumer’s site commitment and actual purchase behavior.

The purpose of this paper is to identify the current situation and the future improvement for IT governance and controls in developing country like Thailand.

Thai universities were selected and used as subjects for capturing the perception of IT executives on IT governance performance measures. In the first step, a global IT governance perspective was drawn from the literature review. In the second step, the important-performance analysis was applied to the metrics of IT governance balanced scorecard with collected survey data from 64 IT executives.

From a global perspective, the critical points that need to be concerned before implementing IT governance have been illustrated. From a regional perspective, the paper generated the strategic IT governance guidance for Thai universities.

This paper is beneficial for chief information officers, executive managers, IT managers, and academics. They will gain more knowledge and understanding about the mixed method of using metrics in IT governance balanced scorecard and importance-performance analysis in order to identify the current situation of IT governance and controls in their organizations. Additionally, the practical idea with this method can be applied to draw IT governance strategy in their contexts.

This paper specifies the critical points and directions of IT governance for Thai universities. The analysis covers global and regional viewpoints. This paper also provides the method for applying IT governance balanced scorecard metrics and importance-performance analysis to contribute IT governance strategy.

This study aims to examine the scientific publications related to leadership research in hospitality from 2000 to 2021 by conducting a systematic review (qualitative) and to discuss implications for future research.

For the qualitative approach, the authors conduct an in-depth critique of major leadership theories using 167 articles indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection.

The findings show that transformational leadership, leader–member exchange and servant leadership are the most prominent leadership topics studied from 2000 to 2021, followed by abusive supervision, empowering leadership, ethical leadership and authentic leadership. A framework is presented highlighting the mediators, moderators, outcomes, sample and research designs used in each of these lines of leadership research. Moreover, 16 areas for further research are identified and discussed.

This review uncovers scholars’ general lack of regard for how the study of leadership might benefit from examining hospitality as a special and challenging context for leadership and business performance.

This study reviews and critically analyzes leadership research in hospitality using qualitative methods. Therefore, the authors believe this review is of great value to academics and practitioners because it synthesizes and analyzes the field and identifies important research opportunities.
