Introduction Consider a hi‐fi loudspeaker manufacturing company acquired on the brink of insolvency by an American multinational. The new owners discover with growing concern that the product range is obsolete, that manufacturing facilities are totally inadequate and that there is a complete absence of any real management substance or structure. They decide on the need to relocate urgently so as to provide continuity of supply at the very high — a market about to shrink at a rate unprecedented in its history.

Abstract
Purpose
In this study, scales are developed for phantasy and its determinants, which is accepted as an important variable in investment preference with an emotional finance perspective. The scales developed in this framework are narrative, divided mind, group feel, informed herding, uninformed herding and phantasy. In addition, the power of these determinants to explain phantasy was investigated.
Design/methodology/approach
For this purpose, the data was obtained between May 01, 2019 and November 30, 2019 via an online survey with convenience sampling. First, a pilot study consisting of 200 subjects was performed. Then, additional data was collected. The total number of subjects was 648. The authors used IBM SPSS Statistics and AMOS for analysis. Exploratory factor analysis and discriminant analysis were performed. In addition, confirmatory factor analysis was performed after an additional data collection process with structural equation modeling.
Findings
As a result of analyses, the validity and reliability of these scales were ensured statistically. It was also found that divided mind directly affects phantasy, but group feel and narrative indirectly affect by informed herding. The “unknown and new investment” preference, which is accepted as a typical feature of the bubble periods, is modeled with the relevant variables. In this framework, it has been found that the variables that refer individuals to the relevant investment preferences are phantasy, group feel, uninformed herding and divided mind.
Originality/value
The study is unique because of its findings and developed scales. The findings are valuable in that the theoretically alleged relations were also obtained empirically.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effects of “feeling trusted asymmetry” on work group performance and individual outcomes. The author adopts the term “feeling trusted asymmetry” to differentiate the subject from studies of trust asymmetry that consider differences in (mutual) ratings of trust between members of a dyad.
Design/methodology/approach
The author tested this effectiveness with data from a sample of 293 subordinate–supervisor dyads in 63 work groups from the People’s Republic of China.
Findings
Results of multilevel analysis reveal that group feeling trusted asymmetry (the degree to which subordinates differ in perceptions of the level of trust from their immediate manager in their group) lowers group performance. Furthermore, individual feeling trusted asymmetry (a subordinate perceiving more or less trust from their immediate manager than other subordinates in the group) affects employees’ workplace satisfaction, but not individual performance and creativity.
Originality/value
These findings have important practical implications, as they provide companies with a feasible way to manage employee’s relations based on their perception of trust from the direct supervisor.

Abstract
Purpose – Past research on emotions in negotiation has focused primarily on the impact of the emotional state of one negotiator in a negotiation. We focus instead on the group emotional tone of the negotiation, defined as the joint emotional experience of all negotiators in the negotiation. Past research also has focused only on one dimension of emotions in negotiation: valence. We focus instead on two additional dimensions of emotions: uncertainty and action tendencies. Examining emotions at the group level, and taking a multidimensional perspective on emotions in negotiation, provides a more nuanced examination of the effects of emotions in negotiation, and also highlights the possibility of emotional ambivalence (and its effects) both within and across negotiators within a negotiation.
Approach – We examine emotions at the group level, and take a multidimensional approach to understanding the impact of group-level emotions within the context of a negotiation.
Findings – We propose that groups characterized by certain versus uncertain emotional tone will have different perceptions of risk in the environment, which can prompt different behavioral outcomes that affect group negotiation processes and outcomes. Furthermore, we propose that groups characterized by different action tendencies will display differences in willingness to engage others during negotiation, which can significantly influence group negotiation processes and outcomes. Evaluating these additional dimensions should provide a more comprehensive perspective on the effects of group-level emotions on negotiation processes and outcomes.
Value – This review is intended to illuminate the powerful role that negotiation-level emotional tone might play in group negotiation behaviors and outcomes. Part of the importance of understanding the impact of group emotional tone is for group leaders to anticipate – and possibly proactively manage – its impact. This can provide managers a reference point to better understand – and effectively manage – negotiations among group members.

The group has continued to meet regularly since the publication of the last bulletin and has welcomed a number of new members and visitors from both home and overseas. Many members who joined at the beginning or very early on in the Group's history still attend regularly, but several long‐standing members have also left, or ceased active participation, in the period under review. Towards the end of 1972 Mr Wells relinquished the chairmanship of the Group, due to pressure of work, and his place was taken by Mr Mills. Another departure, and one that robbed the Group of one of its most active and forceful members, was that of Jason Farradane. He left the country in 1974, and the Group presented him with a book as a memento of many enjoyable and provocative discussions stimulated by his presence at the meetings which he unfailingly attended. It was with great pleasure that he was welcomed back to a meeting while he was visiting this country in January 1976.

Purpose
Impulse buying has been the focus of attention in the marketing. With the rise of online shopping, online impulse buying phenomenon becomes increasingly serious. Whereas, the impulse buying behavior in an online environment is rarely discussed in relevant literature. The purpose of this paper is to explore the impact of the type of product and time pressure on consumer online impulse buying intention; this is a relatively new issue of marketing academia in China.
Design/methodology/approach
In this paper, the experimental methodology was adopted to explore the impact of consumer online impulse buying tendencies, the departure from the type of product and the time pressure.
Findings
Results show that low-involvement feeling products stimulate consumer online impulse buying tendencies. Simultaneously, there is an interaction effect between time pressure and product type, which is, under the influence of time pressure, the enhancement of low-involvement feeling products on consumer online impulse buying tendency is more significant.
Originality/value
This study discusses the interaction between time pressure and product type on consumers’ online impulse buying tendency, which has not been studied before. While discussing the impact of product types on consumers’ impulse buying tendency on the internet, this paper considers the impact of time pressure on consumers’ impulsive buying tendency, and applies the term of time pressure, a psychological research term, to the field of marketing research, so as to make the cross-links between disciplines closer.

Abstract
Substantial developmental psychology research on attachment theory documents that children with secure affectional ties (attachments) to caregivers are more likely to excel in psychosocial and behavioral performance than their peers with insecure attachments. We review attachment theory and research in the developmental psychology literature and propose causes of secure short-term attachments to workgroups. Whereas traditional attachment research has documented social–emotional antecedents, we propose social–emotional and task-related antecedents of secure attachment to workgroups. Suggestive data are presented to illustrate our propositions. We discuss theoretical and practical contributions of our attachment theory-based perspective on workgroups, as well as areas for future research.

Abstract
Purpose
Autism spectrum condition (ASC) is a lifelong developmental condition. According to research, it is recommended that those diagnosed with ASC should be offered post-diagnosis support to explore their diagnosis (Punshow, Skirrow and Murphy, 2009). The ASC Diagnostic Assessment Service at Gloucestershire Health Care (GHC) NHS Foundation Trust offers an assessment service to adults (18+) located within Gloucestershire. All those who receive a diagnosis are then invited to a 7-week post-diagnostic group facilitated by the multidisciplinary team. This service evaluation aimed to evaluate the aforementioned group so that it can be improved upon and thus provide a better service for future clients.
Design/methodology/approach
In total, 14 participants (6 males, 8 females) were interviewed for the purpose of this evaluation following their attendance at these groups.
Findings
The interview transcripts then underwent thematic analysis with four themes identified; “Autistic Community”, “Experience of Being Part of an Online Group”, “Opportunity for Consolidation”, and “Design Considerations and Improvements”. Further sub-themes were also identified. Overall, the service evaluation identified that the group provided a platform for sharing experiences and gaining a sense of belonging. It also highlighted that individuals have different preferences for whether groups should be facilitated online or face-to-face, and also different preferences for the duration of sessions. Further analysis also revealed the suggestion that the final session, for family and friends, should be optional so that those without a support network, do not need to attend as this caused unease in some. Further findings were also identified.
Originality/value
To the authors’ knowledge, existing articles have only focused on the evaluation of the availability of post-diagnostic provision and autistic individuals’ general impression of it rather than an in-depth evaluation of a specific type of support.
