Abstract
Purpose
Based on the theory of habitual domain, the purpose of this paper is to explore inter‐firm networks' mechanisms for coping with environmental change and for assisting firms to adapt to their collaborative networks. Business globalization is driving more and more individual firms to form inter‐firm collaborative networks. These networks need to develop new types of strategic capability in order not only to adopt a robust business process that will achieve high efficiency, but also to develop a network system for responding to external environmental changes.
Design/methodology/approach
With insights gained from the case study, the paper develops an analytical framework for deconstructing the network behavioral changes based on the network habitual domain concept and discusses the dual roles of the network‐based habitual domain in network behavioral changes.
Findings
This paper demonstrates how a Chinese telecommunications service company and its inter‐firm network became the market leader in one of the provincial capital cities in China within six years.
Originality/value
From an endogenous perspective, this paper contributes some useful concepts that may assist both academia and managers to identify network‐based habitual domains, improve the domains continuously, enhance their response capabilities, and formulate appropriate strategies according to the competition's requirements.

Abstract
Purpose
The aim of the present study is to examine the ferrohydrodynamic laminar boundary layer flow of electrically non-conducting magnetic fluid on a uniformly heated and radially stretchable disk with or without rotation in the presence of an externally applied magnetic field.
Design/methodology/approach
Governing equations give rise to highly non-linear coupled partial differential equations which are reduced to a set of ordinary differential equations in dimensionless form by the means of conventional similarity transformation. These equations are further discretized using central finite difference scheme. And, the solution is obtained in MATLAB environment by finding the missing boundary conditions using shooting method.
Findings
The effects of magnetic field dependent viscosity and rotation strength parameter on velocity and temperature profiles are investigated. Besides, the other significant physical quantities such as radial and tangential skin frictions, rate of heat transfer and boundary layer displacement thickness are also computed. The obtained results are discussed quantitatively and qualitatively.
Originality/value
Heat transfer in ferrofluid flow over a radially stretchable and uniformly heated rotating disk has not been investigated yet.

Abstract
This study aims to determine whether the branded luxury guestroom amenities provided in five-star hotels of Delhi influence the guest's hotel purchase decisions. It also identified the amenities which are found to be most and least influential in affecting the guest's hotel selection and purchase behaviour. The study was conducted in the three upscale five-star hotels of Delhi. The selection of amenities and brands to be considered as luxury was based upon three focus group interviews with the room's division manager of the hotels. A structured questionnaire was drafted to identify the most and least useful hotel amenities among the respondents, influencing their hotel selection and purchase behaviours. Wi-Fi in the guestroom was found to be the most valuable amenity, with stationery items regarded as least valuable. It was also found that the guest's hotel selection and purchase decisions were significantly influenced when luxury branded amenities were placed in the guestroom. Guests were even found to pay extra when the hotel provided access to luxury branded amenities in the guestrooms. This is a novel attempt to find how the guests' hotel selection and purchase intentions are influenced by the placement of branded luxury amenities in guestrooms.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to investigate partial magnetic source (MS) effect on natural convection (NC) flow of a ferrofluid flow in a cavity with sinusoidally heated vertical walls. The combination of ferrohydrodynamics and magnetohydrodynamics due to the variable magnetic field (MF) and magnetite nanoparticles in one part of the cavity, and the classical NC in the other part of the cavity are concerned.
Design/methodology/approach
The dimensionless equations in stream function-vorticity form are numerically solved by radial basis functions (RBF) based collocation method.
Findings
A remarkable change in fluid flow and heat transfer is noted if the MS location is close to the left sinusoidally heated wall. In particular, the average Nusselt number is the smallest for the middle centered partial MF through the left wall at a large Hartmann number.
Research limitations/implications
RBF collocation approach is limited to small geometries due to the obtained solution globally in the entire domain of the problem.
Practical implications
If the partial restriction of the effect of MF is done in real life, it would be a control parameter at some required/requested areas of the concerned problem.
Social implications
This is a physical problem.
Originality/value
If the proposed idea of partial variable MF is able to be applied to a system in real life, it would be a good controller on fluid flow and heat transfer. RBF-based methods are also alternative numerical procedures to solve heat transfer and fluid flow problems.

Purpose
This paper aims to present the semantic content identifier (SCI), a permanent identifier, computed through a linear‐time onion‐peeling algorithm that enables the extraction of semantic features from a text, and the integration of this information within the permanent identifier.
Design/methodology/approach
The authors employ SCI to propose a mechanism for simultaneously checking the authenticity and degrees of similarity between different information objects, and present an empirical investigation of the method. A management scenario for the control of the authentication process and the detection of the degree of violation of documents is proposed.
Findings
Such a mechanism could be adopted as a component of libraries' strategy for the protection of the copyrights for documents published on the web.
Practical implications
The use of the proposed numeric code can be utilised efficiently as a constituent part of the digital object identifier (DOI) system, making its computation more efficient and meaningful.
Originality/value
The identifier proposed in the paper can result in a more efficient index for identifying and retrieving objects in a digital library, as well as online repositories and commercial applications that can handle information retrieval requests more effectively.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to study the unsteady ferrofluid flow with a hot source helix inside a cavity under the impacts of a variable magnetic field by using the incompressible smoothed particle hydrodynamics method.
Design/methodology/approach
The governing equations are formulated by considering the basics of the magnetohydrodynamic and ferrohydrodynamics. Different locations of a variable magnetic source outside the geometry are investigated. The helical coils are extensively applied in the cooling and heating of air conditioners and heat pumps. Computations were carried out for different lengths of the heated helix (0.2 ≤ Lh ≤ 0.8), different locations of the magnetic source, (a = 0.5, b = −0.01), (a = 0.5, b = 1.01), (a = 1.01, b = 0.5), (a = −0.01, b = 0.5), different numbers of the inner helix (one helix, two helixes and three helixes) and different values of the nanoparticles volume fraction (0% ≤ ϕ ≤ 10%).
Findings
The outcomes of the investigations revealed that an increase in the lengths of a helix by 0.4 results in a reduction of the stream function by 25.60%. In addition, when the magnetic wire is located near the center of the right wall, the maximum values of the average Nusselt number are obtained while the smallest values of the average Nusselt number are given when the magnetic source is located near center of the top wall.
Originality/value
The novelty of this paper is investigating the natural convection flow from two different models of an inner hot helix inside a cavity with considering different locations of variable magnetic sources.

Viewing the global movement for inclusive and equitable education through the lenses of the social construction of childhood and world culture theory, this chapter explores the normalized cultural conceptions of children and childhood, once situated on the periphery of policy landscapes, that have in recent years become increasingly shared by contemporary global society. I assert that a “global ideology of childhood” reflects a global consensus on the nature and needs of children, underscoring the widely held belief that all children are entitled to similar rights, protections, and childhood experiences. The overarching question addressed by this research is: How are global ideas reproduced and interpreted in national contexts? Through a case study of Nepal’s National Framework of Child-friendly Schools for Quality Education, I examine how the global ideology of childhood is reflected in a national education policy and how multilevel policy actors, and international, national and local non-governmental organizations (I/NGOs) in particular, envision the sustainability of the child-friendly school model – and broader socio-cultural ideas concerning children and childhood – in Nepal. Drawing on interviews with these actors and content analysis of policy documents, this chapter aims to provide a rich, descriptive account of how global culture is appropriated in one national context.

Abstract
Purpose
The usage of robot waiters in the hospitality industry is growing, thus increasing the number of human–robot interactions in frontline services. Focusing on robot waiters in restaurants, this study aims to propose the social cognition (SC)–psychological ownership (PO)–customer responses (CR) model, while examining the association between SC, PO, robot anthropomorphism and CR.
Design/methodology/approach
The hypotheses of this study are tested using a three-step mixed-method approach that includes partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), necessary condition analysis (NCA) and fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA).
Findings
PLS-SEM demonstrates the mediating role of psychological ownership on the relationship between SC, customer attitudes regarding being attended by a robot and revisiting intentions. Robot anthropomorphism enhances the relationship between SC and psychological ownership. NCA indicates that SC and psychological ownership are necessary conditions for the presence of favorable attitudes and revisiting intentions. FsQCA suggests that different configurations of the antecedent conditions lead to better attitudes and revisiting intentions.
Practical implications
Frontline hospitality robots need to be perceived as warm, competent, responsive and adaptable to customer requests to elicit positive responses. Managers should employ attractive robots displaying anthropomorphic features. Managers need to ensure that customers have some knowledge about robots before interacting with them. Managers should also consider customer heterogeneity and the context in which the robots will be deployed.
Originality/value
Based on the psychological ownership theory, this paper analyzes the relationship between SC, psychological ownership and CR. Anthropomorphism moderates the relationship between SC and psychological ownership.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to outline and implement a novel hybrid controller in humanoid robots to map an optimal path. The hybrid controller is designed using the Owl search algorithm (OSA) and Fuzzy logic.
Design/methodology/approach
The optimum steering angle (OS) is used to deal with the obstacle located in the workspace, which is the output of the hybrid OSA Fuzzy controller. It is obtained by feeding OSA's output, i.e. intermediate steering angle (IS), in fuzzy logic. It is obtained by supplying the distance of obstacles from all directions and target distance from the robot's present location.
Findings
The present research is based on the navigation of humanoid NAO in complicated workspaces. Therefore, various simulations are performed in a 3D simulator in different complicated workspaces. The validation of their outcomes is done using the various experiments in similar workspaces using the proposed controller. The comparison between their outcomes demonstrates an acceptable correlation. Ultimately, evaluating the proposed controller with another existing navigation approach indicates a significant improvement in performance.
Originality/value
A new framework is developed to guide humanoid NAO in complicated workspaces, which is hardly seen in the available literature. Inspection in simulation and experimental workspaces verifies the robustness of the designed navigational controller. Considering minimum error ranges and near collaboration, the findings from both frameworks are evaluated against each other in respect of specified navigational variables. Finally, concerning other present approaches, the designed controller is also examined, and major modifications in efficiency have been reported.
