The paper aims to find an accurate analytic solution (series solution) for the micropolar flow in a porous channel with mass injection for different values of Reynolds number.

In this paper, the homotopy analysis method (HAM) with different numbers of unknown convergence-control parameters has been used to derive accurate analytic solution for micropolar flow in a porous channel with mass injection. The possible optimal value of convergence-control parameter determined by minimizing the averaged residual error.

The results obtained from HAM solution with two parameters are compared with numerical results and that obtained from HAM solution with only one parameter. The results show that this method gives an analytical solution with high order of accuracy with a few iterations. As shown in this paper, by minimizing the averaged residual error, the authors can get the possible optimal value of the convergence-control parameters which may give the fastest convergent series.

The HAM with different numbers of unknown convergence-control parameters can be used to obtain analytic solutions for many problems in sciences and engineering.

Since the early 1980s when the term ‘emerging markets’ was first coined by the IMF and World Bank to describe the performance in countries with changing institutional framework, the theory has failed to produce a coherent and systemic theory. In this digital era, email is the most pervasive form of communication between people. Many users become a victim of spam emails and their data have been exposed.

Researchers contribute to solving this problem by a focus on advanced machine learning algorithms and improved models for detecting spam emails but there is still a gap in features. To achieve good results, features also play an important role. To evaluate the performance of applied classifiers, 10-fold cross-validation is used.

The results approve that the spam emails are correctly classified with the accuracy of 98.00% for the Support Vector Machine and 98.06% for the Artificial Neural Network as compared to other applied machine learning classifiers.

In this paper, Point-Biserial correlation is applied to each feature concerning the class label of the University of California Irvine (UCI) spambase email dataset to select the best features. Extensive experiments are conducted on selected features by training the different classifiers.

The future does not just happen; it is created whenever we are innovative. For that to occur systematically and predictably, organizations have to become involved in at least five interventions. First, they must invite synergy between intellectuality and creativity and ultimately tap both. Second, they need to introduce unlearning. Third, they have to find the right mechanism and create the right environment for creativity and the future to coexist and flourish together. Fourth, there is a discipline involved in creative dislocation which they need to understand. Fifth, they must explore the many steps – ten are outlined here – that promote the unlearning process and disorient the time/space continuum.

Man has been seeking an ideal existence for a very long time. In this existence, justice, love, and peace are no longer words, but actual experiences. How ever, with the American preemptive invasion and occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq and the subsequent prisoner abuse, such an existence seems to be farther and farther away from reality. The purpose of this work is to stop this dangerous trend by promoting justice, love, and peace through a change of the paradigm that is inconsistent with justice, love, and peace. The strong paradigm that created the strong nation like the U.S. and the strong man like George W. Bush have been the culprit, rather than the contributor, of the above three universal ideals. Thus, rather than justice, love, and peace, the strong paradigm resulted in in justice, hatred, and violence. In order to remove these three and related evils, what the world needs in the beginning of the third millenium is the weak paradigm. Through the acceptance of the latter paradigm, the golden mean or middle paradigm can be formulated, which is a synergy of the weak and the strong paradigm. In order to understand properly the meaning of these paradigms, however, some digression appears necessary.

This study aims to deal with both the development and mechanical investigations of unsaturated polyester matrix (UPR) composites containing recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fibers as new fillers.

UPR/PET fibers composites have been developed as mats by incorporating 5, 8, 13 and 18 parts per hundred of rubber (phr) of 6-, 10- and 15-mm length PET fibers from the recycling of postconsumer bottles. The mechanical and physical properties of the composites were investigated as a function of fiber content and length. A significant increase in stress at break and in ultimate stress (sr) were observed for composites reinforced with 5 and 8 phr of 15-mm length PET fibers. The Izod impact strength of UPR/mat PET fiber composites as a function of fiber rate and length showed that the 5 and 8 phr composites for the 15-mm length PET fiber have the optimal mechanical properties 13.55 and 10.50 Kj/m², respectively. The morphological study showed that the strong adhesion resulting from the affinity of the PET fiber for the UPR matrix. The ductile fracture of materials reinforced with 5 and 8 phr is confirmed by the fiber deformation and fracture surface roughness.

This study concluded that the PET fiber enhances the properties of composites, a good correlation was observed between the results of the mechanical tests and the structural analysis revealing that for the lower concentrations, the PET fibers are well dispersed into the resin, but entanglements are evidenced when the fiber content increases.

It can be shown from scanning electron microscopy micrographs that the fabrication technique produced composites with good interfacial adhesion between PET fibers and UPR matrix.
