Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to determine the antecedents of speed to market (SM). Further, a model was established on SM with the organizational variables of enacting organizational environment (EOE), organizational infrastructure (OI), project complexity (PC) and creation of collective mind (CCM).
Design/methodology/approach
This research was based on structured survey questionnaire data of 415 managers from private and public sector firms in India. The data analysis was carried out with SPSS 20 and AMOS 18 for structural equation modeling.
Findings
Research results indicated that the exogenous factors were EOE and OI. PC and CCM were the intervening variables and SM was the endogenous variables. The result indicated that there was significant positive relationship between EOE and PC, EOE and CCM. There was also a significant positive relationship between the variables EOE with PC, OI with PC and CCM with PC. Finally there existed a significant positive relationship between PC and SM and CCM and SM.
Research limitations/implications
This research study was one of the first research studies developing a model on SM with the exogenous variables of EOE and OI and the intervening variables of PC and CCM.
Practical implications
The managers in both public and private sector organizations looking to create and sustain competitive advantage by providing a fast and apt response to market demand by product development can use the inputs from the study. Organizations should be developed in such a manner to enrich the EOE and have a agile and flexible OI. This would help organizations in having CCM and undertake PC. A well-coordinated effort encompassing all these would help the organization to have a fast and steady SM.
Originality/value
This research was one of the very first studies relating SM with EOE, OI, PC and CCM in an emerging market context.

Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to explore the social psychological basis of pathologies, from which result neuroses and behaviours like corruption and sociopathic behaviour. It takes the perspective that social collectives have normative minds and can be explored in terms of their social psychological processes.
Design/methodology/approach
Knowledge cybernetics will be used to show how pathologies can develop from the interconnection between such noumenal attributes as ideology and ethics.
Findings
Social entities have similar psychological pathologies to individual ones. Piaget's notions of how the mind operates can be applied to corporate personality, and their inability to create and coordinate different perspectives can be seen as an organisational pathology.
Research limitations/implications
The paper is a theoretical construct that explores corruption and sociopathology at a deep conceptual level. It requires elaboration through case examples to provide pragmatic meaning.
Practical implications
The capacity to create a methodology that is able to explore the existence and development of pathologies.
Originality/value
This is the first approach of this type using cybernetics to explore at a high conceptual focus the development of pathologies like corruption and sociopathic behaviour.

Purpose
This conceptual paper aims to explore the possibility of human beings reaching a virtual form of immortality.
Design/methodology/approach
The paper is an investigation of the path from an early example of human knowledge to the birth of artificial intelligence (AI) and robots. A critical analysis of different point of views, from philosophers to scientists, is presented.
Findings
From ancient rock art paintings to the moon landing, human knowledge has made a huge progress to the point of creating robots resembling human features. While these humanoid robots can successfully undertake risky tasks, they also generate ethical issues for the society they interact with.
Research limitations/implications
The paper is conceptual, and it does attempt to provide one theory by which human beings can achieve the dream of immortality. It is part of a work in progress on the use of AI and the issues related to the creation/use of humanoid robots in society.
Originality/value
This paper provides an overview of some of the key issues and themes impacting our modern society. Its originality resides in the linking of human knowledge to collective knowledge and then of collective mind to the hyper-collective mind. The idea of humans reaching immortality is burdened by the imperative need to define ethical guidelines for the field of AI and its uses.

Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to conceptualize resonant co-creation as a framework for cultivating strategic innovation and organizational change; to delineate worldview transformation as central to resonant co-creation and overview the theoretical and practical foundations of this approach; and to offer a model on the facilitation of resonant co-creation in organizations.
Design/methodology/approach
Conceptual development with case illustration.
Findings
Resonant co-creation fosters strategic innovation through coaching and facilitation techniques that cultivate awareness, empathy, and advanced communication skills. This results in a fundamental shift in the engagement and interactions of teams, creating a new space for innovation.
Research limitations/implications
The framework offered herein brings conceptual clarity to specific approaches to and applications of resonant co-creation to achieve strategic innovation. By providing perspective on processes leading to innovation, it possible to be more precise about the relationships between consulting practices and stated organizational change outcomes.
Practical implications
The presentation and clarification of the theoretical model (the underlying grammar of facilitation) and specific techniques that can be used to drive worldview transformation can benefit coaches, facilitators, and leaders who wish to implement a co-creative organizational culture or improve outcomes of co-creative programs. By linking theory to practice, this paper can help change makers and managers better justify and implement resonant co-creation within their organizational contexts.
Social implications
Resonant co-creation facilitates an expansion of awareness that can lead to more sustainable business practices and workplace well-being. This benefits society at large through fostering more socially conscious and innovative organizations.
Originality/value
Resonant co-creation is a needed nuance to the very generalized notion of co-creation spread throughout organizations today. Clarifying this approach is useful to both practitioners and researchers who seek to understand or facilitate innovation and organizational change. The originality of this paper lies in the combination of the idea of co-creation with the psychological concept of worldview transformation. By creating shifts in individual and collective (organizational) worldview, resonant co-creation transforms the way people interact and ideate. This paper introduces a grammar of facilitation and specific techniques that shift worldview and create a space for strategic innovation.

This book is a policy proposal aimed at the democratic left. It is concerned with gradual but radical reform of the socio‐economic system. An integrated policy of industrial and economic democracy, which centres around the establishment of a new sector of employee‐controlled enterprises, is presented. The proposal would retain the mix‐ed economy, but transform it into a much better “mixture”, with increased employee‐power in all sectors. While there is much of enduring value in our liberal western way of life, gross inequalities of wealth and power persist in our society.
