Trace Instruments have announced that Mr Tony Battaglia has been named central regional sales manager.

Menvier Hybrids have strengthened their manufacturing capabilities by the appointment of Mike Kervell CEng FIEE as manufacturing manager, responsible for controlling production of the company's thick‐film hybrid circuits and surface‐mount assemblies. An engineer with extensive experience in the electrical and electronics industries, his previous posts were with Storno, Rathdown Industries and Solid State Logic. For the past year he has been a consultant with Associated Business Management, specialising in planning, implementation, auditing and assessment of BS5750.

Alpha Metals, supplier of solders and solder related chemicals, has promoted Mr Stan Renals to the position of Sales and Marketing Manager, reporting to the General Manager. Having been with the company for some five years, originally as Southern Regional Sales Manager and latterly in the position of National Field Sales Manager, Mr Renals will take on the additional responsibilities of internal sales, marketing and export sales.

Mr Lomer has extensive quality management experience in the electronics environment, having introduced total quality management initiatives as well as statistical process control in previous posts. He is also intimately familiar with BS 7000/BS 5750 and ISO 9000/ EN 2900 in the USA as well as in the UK and mainland Europe.
